Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya aktivitas belajar peserta didik kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Munculnya masalah tersebut disebabkan oleh kegiatan pembelajaran yang masih didominasi oleh guru sehingga pembelajaran kurang variatif dan kurang melibatkan peserta didik secara langsung. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan penerapan Pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Group Investigation untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar peserta didik di kelas V SD. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Penelitian dilaksanakan di salah satu SD di Kota Bandung dari bulan April hingga Mei 2019. Partisipan penelitiannya adalah 23 orang peserta didik kelas V SD. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan tes. Data kualitatif diolah melalui langkah reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan, sedangkan data kuantitatif diolah dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif rata-rata dan persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Group Investigation dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar peserta didik kelas V SD.

This research is motivated by the low learning activities of fifth grade elementary school students. The emergence of these problems is caused by learning activities that are still dominated by teachers so that learning is less varied and does not directly involve students. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Cooperative Learning type of Group Investigation to improve student learning activities in the fifth grade of elementary school. This study used the classroom action research method model Kemmis and Mc Taggart. The study was conducted in one of the elementary schools in Bandung from April to May 2019. The study participants were 23 students of fifth grade elementary school. Data is collected through observation and tests. Qualitative data is processed through data reduction steps, data presentation and conclusion drawing, while quantitative data is processed using average and percentage descriptive statistics. The results showed that the application of the cooperative learning model type Group Investigation can improve the learning activities of elementary school students.
