Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya motivasi belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran umum motivasi belajar peserta didik kelas X dan kelas XI SMA Negeri 5 Garut Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan metode survey deskriptif. Penelitian dilakukan kepada 384 peserta didik kelas X dan kelas XI di SMA Negeri 5 Garut Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan cara penyebaran angket atau kuesioner dengan metode likert. Data penelitian diperoleh dari hasil penyebaran instrumen yang terdiri dari lima kategori yaitu external, introjection, identification, integration, dan intrinsic. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rata-rata sebesar 104, yang termasuk di kategori integration, dengan penjelasan distribusi frekuensinya yaitu (1) external merupakan kategori terendah dengan persentase sebesar 0%; (2) introjection memiliki persentase sebesar 1%; identification memiliki persentase sebesar 33%; (4) integration merupakan kategori tertinggi dengan persentase sebesar 56%; dan yang terakhir (5) intrinsic memiliki persentase sebesar 10%, sehingga menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar peserta didik masih termasuk dalam bagian motivasi ekstrinsik tetapi mulai digabungkan dengan beberapa nilai intrinsik. Rekomendasi sebagai tindak lanjut penelitian diarahkan kepada upaya meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik. This research is motivated by the lack of learning motivation of students. This study aims to find an overview of learning motivation for grade X and grade XI Students of Senior High School 5 Garut in the School Year of 2018/2019. This research was conducted using a quantitative approach and a descriptive survey method. The study was conducted on 384 students of Grade X and Grade XI of Senior High School 5 Garut in the School Year of 2018/2019. Data collection techniques in this study using the method of distribution through questionnaires with the Likert method. The research data was obtained from the results of the dissemination of instruments consisting of five categories namely external, introjection, identification, integration, and intrinsic. The results showed an average values of 104, which is included in the integration category, with an explanation of the frequency distribution that (1) external is the lowest category with a percentage of 0%; (2) introjection has a percentage of 1%; (3) identification has a percentage of 33%; (4) integration is the highest category with a percentage of 56%; and the last (5) intrinsic has a percentage of 10%, so that it shows that students' learning motivation is still included in the part of extrinsic motivation but begins to be combined with some intrinsic values.
