Abstract
Kecenderungan forgiveness yang rendah dimiliki oleh seseorang yang menyikapi rasa sakit hati dan menyelesaikan konflik yang dialami dengan kekerasan. Penelitian dilakukan untuk memperoleh gambaran empiris mengenai forgiveness pada remaja yang mengalami kekerasan emosional dari orang tua serta implikasinya bagi bimbingan dan konseling. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskripstif. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 39 orang remaja yang mengalami kekerasan emosional di SMP Negeri 14 Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019 kelas VIII secara purposive sampling. Data diperoleh melalui instrumen Transgression-Related Interpersonal Motivation-18 (TRIM-18) yang telah teruji validitas dan reliabiltasnya. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan forgiveness pada remaja yang mengalami kekerasan emosional oleh orang tua cenderung berada pada kategori sedang. Implikasi dari penelitian yang dilakukan adalah pengembangan program bimbingan dan konseling pribadi-sosial untuk meningkatkan forgiveness pada remaja yang mengalami kekerasan emosional oleh orang tua. Rekomendasi penelitian ditujukan kepada guru bimbingan dan konseling untuk mengembangkan forgiveness di sekolah agar peserta didik memiliki psikologis yang lebih sehat dan hubungan sosial yang baik, yang dilayani melalui program bimbingan dan konseling bidang pribadi-sosial. Serta bagi peneliti selanjutnya agar mengkaji isu-isu terkait dengan hasil penelitian. Kata Kunci: forgiveness, kekerasan emosional, orang tua, remaja The low forgiveness tendency is possessed by someone who responses heartache because of others and resolves conflicts experienced with violence. This research has been conducted to obtain the empirical pictures about forgiveness in the adolescents who experience emotional violence by parents, and its implication for guidance and counseling. The approach used in this research is a quantitative approach with descriptive method. The samples used are 39 people in adolescents who have experience in getting emotional violence, at SMP Negeri 14 Bandung Academic year 2018/2019, in Eighth Grade. The sample has been taken by using purposive sampling technique. The data was obtained through the instrument of Transgression-Related Interpersonal Motivation-18 (TRIM-18) that has been tested for its validity and reliability. The finding of this research shows that the tendency of forgiveness in teenagers who have experience in getting emotional violence by their parents tends to be at a moderate level of category. The implication of this research is developing the personal-social guidance and counseling program to increase forgiveness in adolescents who have experienced emotional violence by parents. Research recommendations are aimed to the teacher of guidance and counseling program to develop forgiveness in schools so that students have a healthier psychological and good social relationship, which is served through guidance in the field of personal-social guidance and counseling.
