Abstract

Optimisme penting dimiliki peserta didik, namun saat ini banyak fenomena peserta didik dengan pola pikir negatif dalam menghadapi masalah, cenderung lebih mudah menyerah pada relaitas dari pada memperjuangkannya, bersikap menyalahkan diri sendiri atas kejadian tidak menyenangkan yang berdampak pada penghargaan diri yang kurang baik, sehingga seperti kehilangan optimisme. Penelitian bertujuan merumuskan program bimbingan dengan pendekatan Resourceful Adolescent Program (RAP) berdasarkan profil optimisme peserta didik yang selanjutnya di judgement oleh pakar dan prkatisi. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Penelitian dilakukan kepada 253 peserta didik kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 40 Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018. Hasil penelitian menunjukan secara umum peserta didik berada pada kategori optimis yang berarti peserta didik sudah memiliki sudut pandang, cara berpikir dalam melihat suatu kejadian bersifat positif. Penelitian berhasil merumuskan program bimbingan dengan pendekatan Resourceful Adolescent Program (RAP) untuk mengembangkan optimisme peserta didik yang telah teruji kelayakannya melalui judgement pakar dan praktisi bimbingan dan konseling. ;---It is important for students to have optimism; however, it is commonplace nowadays that students have negative mindset in dealing with problems, tend to easily give up on life than fight for it, and blame themselves for unpleasant events which results in poor self-esteem and hence making them seem to be losing their optimism. The research aims to formulate a guidance program with the Resourceful Adolescent Program (RAP) approach based on student optimism profile as judged by experts and practitioners. It adopted the quantitative approach with survey method. The research was conducted to 253 eighth grade students at SMPN 40 Bandung Academic Year 2017/2018. The results show that students were generally in the optimistic category, which means that students already have their own perspective, a positive way of thinking in looking at an event. The research has successfully formulated a guidance program with the Resourceful Adolescent Program (RAP) approach to develop the optimism of students, and this program has been tested for its feasibility through the judgment of experts and practitioners of guidance and counseling.
