Abstract
Dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar sebuah model pembelajaran sangatlah berperan penting bagi guru untuk peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam analisis. Kemampuan analisis siswa di beberapa sekolah masih terbilang cukup rendah, seperti di sekolah SMP Negeri 2 Jatinangor dari hasil studi pendahuluan yang telah peneliti laksanakan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk menjawab permasalahan yang berkaitan dengan penggunaan model pembelajaran Means Ends Analysis (MEA) terhadap peningkatan kemampuan analisis siswa yang dilihat dari aspek membedakan, mengorganisasikan, dan mengatribusikan antara sebelum dan sesudah mengunakan model pembelajaran MEA. Pada penelitian ini, pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dan metode penelitian menggunakan kuasi eksperimen dengan desain one group time series design. Instrumen yang digunakan penelitian ini yaitu tes berupa uraian. Secara umum dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan penggunaan model pembelajaran Means Ends Analysis (MEA) terhadap kemampuan anaslis siswa. Adapun kesimpulan khusus pada penelitian ini yaitu kemampuan analisis siswa pada aspek membedakan, mengorganisasi, dan mengatribusi sesudah menggunakan model pembelajaran Means Ends Analysis (MEA) lebih tinggi dibandingkan sebelum menggunakan model pembelajaran Means Ends Analysis (MEA).;--Learning model plays an important role in improving student’s analytical skill in teaching and learning activities. However, level of student’s analytical skill was low in some schools. One case indicates the fact is in Junior High Scool 2 Jatinangor which the study took place. The study conducted to solve the problem related to the use of Means Ends Analysis (MEA) model to improve students’ analytical skillwhich there are aspects such as differentiating, organizing, and attributing aspect which can be seen before and after the MEA used. The methode of this study is quasi experiment with one group time series design based on quantitative approach. An essay test was used as an instrument. Result shows that there are improvements on every aspect, including differentiating aspect, organizing aspect, and attributing aspect that can be measured before and after using MEA learning model.
