Abstract
This research is based on the low beginning writing skill of the first grade students of elementary school in Bandung. The research method used is classroom action research (CAR) by Kemmis and Taggart model. The subject of the research is the first grade students of elementary school in Bandung with 34 students. This CAR data collection tool consists of observation sheets of teacher and student activities, field notes and documentation. This CAR is performed in three cycles. The results showed that in cycle I, the average score of beginning writing skill was 65.5 and the percentage of students completeness was 44%.
