Abstract

Penelitian ini di latarbelakangi oleh kurangnya aktivitas belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran. Kurangnya aktivitas belajar siswa dikarenakan cara mengajar guru yang hanya menggunakan metode ceramah belum menerapkan pembelajaran yang mampu meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa. Sehingga siswa menjadi bosan dan mengantuk pada saat proses pembelajaran. Pembelajaran kooperatif tipe teams games tournament ini dapat menjadi solusi untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa. Pembelajaran ini terdiri atas 4 langkah yakni penyajian kelas, tim, permainan, dan turnamen. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe teams games tournament untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa, dan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan aktivitas belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart dengan dua siklus yang terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi serta refleksi. Tekhnik pengolahan data yang diterapkan adalah analisis data kualitatif dan analisis kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu pada tindakan siklus I mencapai 64%, sedangkan pada tindakan siklus II meningkat sebesar 32% yaitu mencapai 96%. Hasil penelitian, menunjukkan bahwa keterlaksanaan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe teams games tournament pada saat proses pembelajaran dan peningkatan aktivitas belajar siswa dengan menerapkan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe teams games tournament dapat terlaksana dengan baik. Berdasarkan temuan-temuan yang didapat dari penelitian ini, maka direkomendasikan kepada guru untuk menerapkan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe teams games tournament yang mampu meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa.;--The lack of students' learning activity had been the main background on why this study is conducted. This lack of learning activity in students happened because the teachers had only been using the traditional speech method in the classroom instead of any other activities that can actually increase students' learning activity and prevent students from feeling bored and sleepy during class. To fix this problem, the Cooperative Learning method using team games tournament can be used as a way to increase students' learning activity. This learning activity is divided into four steps, that are class presentation, team, game, and tournament. The purposes of this study itself is to describe the implementation of cooperative learning method using team games tournament in the classroom, also describing the improvement of students' learning activity. This study was conducted using action research method with Kemmis and Mc Taggart model in which it has two cycles, that are planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The data from this study was analyzed with quantitative and qualitative research methods. The result showed that in cycle 1, the improvement of students' learning activity reach 64%, while in cycle 2 it increased up to 32% and reached 96% of improvement. Another founding showed that the implementation of cooperative learning with team games tournament to improve students' learning activity has went well and showed a positive change. Based on the findings of this study, it is recommended that teachers try to implement the cooperative learning method with team games tournament in classroom to improve students' learning activity.
