Abstract

Penelitian membahas mengenai semangat kerja pegawai golongan III yang belum optimal di Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Cirebon. Penelitian ini terdiri dari tiga variabel yaitu insentif, lingkungan kerja, dan semangat kerja pegawai. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui gambaran tingkat insentif, kondisi lingkungan kerja dan tingkat semangat kerja pegawai, mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh insentif terhadap semangat kerja, pengaruh lingkungan kerja terhadap semangat kerja, dan pengaruh insentif dan lingkungan kerja terhadap semangat kerja pada pegawai golongan III di Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Cirebon. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif verifikatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dengan model likert. Teknik analisis data menggunakan regresi ganda. Responden penelitian ini adalah pegawai golongan III di Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Cirebon sebanyak 40 responden. Berdasarkan hasil analisis ditemukan gambaran tingkat insentif berada pada kategori tinggi, kondisi lingkungan kerja berada pada kategori tinggi, dan gambaran tingkat semangat kerja pegawai berada pada kategori tinggi. Hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh bahwa insentif berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap semangat kerja, lingkungan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap semangat kerja, serta insentif dan lingkungan kerja mempunyai pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap semangat kerja pada pegawai golongan III di Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Cirebon. Selanjutnya untuk meningkatkan semangat kerja pegawai dapat dilakukan dengan memperhatikan tata letak ruangan dan pencahayaan dalam ruangan dan memberikan penghargaan sesuai dengan hasil pekerjaannya. ;---The research discusses the less than optimal work motivation of third rank employees at the Education Office of Cirebon Regency. It consists of three variables, namely incentives, work environment, and work motivation. The purpose of this research is to find about the level of incentives, work environment conditions, and work motivation, and to find about the extent to which incentives influences work motivation, work environment influences work motivation, and incentives and work environment influence the work motivation of the third rank employees at the Office Education of Cirebon Regency. The method used in this research was descriptive verification. Data were collected using Likert model questionnaire and analyzed with the technique of multiple regression. Respondents of this research were 40 third rank employees at the Education Office of Cirebon Regency. Based on the results of the analysis, it is found that the incentive level was in high category, working environment in high category, and employees’ work motivation in high category as well. The result of hypothesis test shows that incentives positively influenced work motivation, work environment positively influenced work motivation, and incentives and work environment had positive influence on the work motivation of the third rank officers at the Education Office of Cirebon Regency. Furthermore, to improve employees’ work motivation, attention should be given to the layout and lighting in the rooms and awards should be given in accordance with the work outcomes of respective employees.
