Abstract
Permasalahan yang paling pokok dalam penelitian ini adalah tentang bagaimana proses pembuatan gitar elektrik yang berkualitas mulai dari pemilihan bahan mentah, pengolahan, perakitan hingga menjadi sebuah gitar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian ini juga memaparkan bagaimana proses konstruksi gitar elektrik berdasarkan temuan yang diperoleh peneliti dilapangan. Hasil temuan tersebut kemudian dikaitkan dengan konsep dasar ilmu organology, sehingga dapat diperoleh proses pembuatan gitar elektrik yang memperhatikan struktur pada gitar tersebut, sumber bunyi yang dihasilkan, serta sistem penalaan yang tepat. Objek penelitian ini adalah gitar elektrik tipe The Tripper yang diproduksi oleh suatu perusahaan perseorangan, Stranough Guitar Technology. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah melalui wawancara, observasi, serta studi literatur. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah bahwa dalam memproduksi gitar elektrik yang berkualitas harus benar-benar dapat memperhitungkan dan memahami kualitas bahan, proses pembuatan, menerapkan ilmu organologi dengan sentuhan estetis tanpa mengurangi kualitas bunyi dari gitar itu sendiri. ;---The most fundamental problem in this thesis is a study of how the process of making a quality electric guitar ranging from the selection of raw materials, processing, assembling up to be a guitar. The method used in this research is descriptive method with qualitative approach. This study also describes how the electric guitar-making process based on the findings obtained by researcher in the field. The findings are being associated with the basic concepts of organological science that also related to the science of elektric, so as to obtain an electric guitar-making process that consider to the structure of guitar, the source of the sound production, and the appropriate tuning system. The object of this study is a guitar electric type The Tripper produced by a private company, Stranough Guitar Technology. Data collection techniques used were through interviews , observation , and study of literature . The results obtained is that in producing a quality electric guitar should really be able to take into account and understand the quality of the materials , the manufacturing process , applying knowledge organological with a touch of aesthetic without compromising the sound quality of the guitar itself.
