Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh isu mutu pendidikan yang rendah, diukur dari hasil belajar siswa khususnya mata pelajaran ekonomi dilihat dari nilai PAS tahun pelajaran 2018/2019 menunjukan bahwa banyak siswa yang tidak memenuhi Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) pada siswa kelas XI IPS di Kabupaten Bandung Wilayah Timur. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah motivasi belajar memediasi pengaruh antara metakognisi dengan hasil belajar siswa. metode penelitian yang digunakan yaiu survey eksplanatori dengan menggunakan kuisioner sebagai alat pengumpul data. Populasi dalam penelitian ini siswa kelas XI IPS di Kabupaten Bandung Wilayah Timur sebanyak 775 siswa. dengan menggunakan teknik sample simple random sampling diperoleh sampel sebanyak 264 siswa. teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis regresi berganda dengan variabel mediasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa : (i) Metakognisi, motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar siswa berada pada kategori sedang. (ii) Motivasi belajar berperan memediasi pengaruh metakognisi terhadap hasil belajar. Kata Kunci : Motivasi belajar, Metakognisi, Hasil Belajar This research was motivated by the issue of low quality education, measured by students learning outcomes especially economic subjects viewed from the PAS scores for the 2018/2019 academic year showing that many students did not meet the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) in class XI IPS in East Bandung Regency. This study aims to determine whether learning motivation mediates the effect of the relationship between metacognition and student learning outcomes. The research method used in this research is the explanatory survey using a questionnaire as a data collection tool. The population in this study were 775 students of class XI IPS in East Bandung Regency and 264 students were selected to become the sample of this survey by using random sampling technique. Data analysis techniques used are multiple regression analysis with mediating variables. The results of the study show that: (i) Metacognition, learning motivation and student learning outcomes are in the medium category. (ii) Learning motivation plays a role in mediating the influence of metacognition on learning outcomes. Keywords: Learning Motivation, Metacognition, Learning Outcomes
