Abstract

Kemampuan Literasi Visual adalah kemampuan menafsirkan dan memaknai visual, dan dapat mewujudkan imajinasi menjadi bentuk nyata baik itu berupa 2 dimensi maupun 3 dimensi. Dalam pelaksanaan penelitian dilaksanakan di sekolah kelas VII. Penelitian ini berusaha menjawab pertanyaan dalam rumusan masalah ” Bagaimana deskripsi kemampuan Literasi Visual Siswa dengan Menggunakan Media Photo Story Pada Kelas VII di SMPN 1 Bandung?”. Penelitian ini melihat aspek literal, aspek inferensial, dan aspek evaluasi, dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan instrument tes. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII-2 kelas VII-4 dan kelas VII-7 yang berjumlah 96 orang. Teknis analisis yang digunakanmenggunakan kai kuadrat dan deskriptif persentase. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan di lapangan, dapat dinyatakan behwa secara keseluruhan kualitas kemampuan literasi visual dinyatakan cukup baik.adapun rincian nya adalah 1) Kualitas kemampuan literasi visual pada aspek literal dinyatakan cukup baik. 2) Kualitas kemampuan literasi visual pada aspek inferensial dinyatakan baik. 3) Kualitas kemampuan literasi visual pada aspek evaluasi dinyatakan cukup baik. The ability of Visual Literacy is the ability to interpret and interpret the visual, and can realize the imagination into a real form whether it is a 2 dimensional or 3 dimensional. In the implementation of research carried out in school class VII. This research tries to answer the question in the formulation of the problem "How to description the ability of Student Visual Literacy by Using Media Photo Story In Class VII in SMPN 1 Bandung?". This study looks at the literal, inferential, and evaluation aspects, with a quantitative approach. Data were collected using the test instrument. The sample of this research is the students of class VII-2 class VII-4 and class VII-7 which amounted to 96 people. Technical analysis used using kai square and descriptive percentages. Based on the results of research conducted in the field, it can be stated that overall quality of visual literacy ability is quite good. The details are 1) The quality of visual literacy capability in the literal aspect is quite good. 2) The quality of the visual literacy ability on the inferential aspect is considered good. 3) The quality of the visual literacy ability in the evaluation aspect is quite good.
