Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran umum pengetahuan awal, motivasi berprestasi, dan hasil belajar serta menganalisis pengaruh pengetahuan awal dan motivasi berprestasi terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas XI IIS SMA Negeri di Kota Bandung Wilayah Timur. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh menurunnya nilai rata-rata ujian nasional pada mata pelajaran ekonomi khususnya di Kota Bandung Wilayah Timur. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah survey eksplanatori dengan teknik analisis data yaitu regresi linier berganda. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan simple random sampling dengan hasil 255 siswa sebagai responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variabel pengetahuan awal, motivasi berprestasi, dan hasil belajar berada pada kategori sedang. Adapun variabel pengetahuan awal dan motivasi berprestasi berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran ekonomi. Dari hasil penelitian maka para guru hendaknya menggunakan berbagai upaya untuk meningkatkan motivasi berprestasi siswa baik berupa metode pembelajaran maupun aplikasi ilmu ekonomi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.----This research has purpose to find out general description about prior knowledge, achievement motivation, and learning result with analyze influence the prior knowledge and achievement motivation to learning result. Students of class XI IIS in senior high school surround East Bandung. This research was effected by decreased mean of national examination result on economic subject especially in East Bandung. The used method in this study was an explanatory survey with multiple linear regression as data analysis techniques. The sampling technique in this research used simple random sampling with the result 255 students as respondents. The study findings showed variable prior knowledge achievement motivation and learning result was in the moderate category. The result of that the prior knowledge and achievement motivation gave positive effect to students’ learning outcomes on Economic subjects. From this research the teachers expected to do some efforts to increase achievement motivation of student, meanwhile such as learning method or applied economics to daily activites.
