Abstract

This research is aimed to identify the relationship between work ethic (x) with self regulation (y) among the teachers of Primary School in Antapani Bandung. The method used in this research is a correlational method with 100 primary teachers as respondents. Data collection technique, researcher used a paper questionnaire method, directly given to the teachers. The questionnaire consisted of work ethic scale adapted from Eric Sopyan (2014) and self-regulation scale adapted from Rini Nuraini (2014). The data analysis used in this research is Spearman’s rank correlation technique. Results of this study show significant relationship, the result show strong relationships between two variables with coefficient of 0,607. There are several dimensions in work ethos and self-regulation variable which have significant and positive influence to work ethic relationship with self regulation, that is self-actualization (work ethic) with strength (self regulation). The dimension has the most positive and significant influence which has a contribution of 0.625. As in this research found the lowest correlation between self regulation with work dimension is art with correlation coefficient 0,121 which mean very low.----- Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui hubungan anatara variable etos kerja (x) dengan variabel regulasi diri (y) pada guru sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Antapani Bandung. Penelitian kuantitatif ini menggunakan sampel dengan jumlah total 100 orang guru sekolah dasar. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari dua jenis skala, yaitu etos kerja dan regulasi diri. Pengambilan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran kuesioner yang diberikan dengan penyebaran kuesioner menggunakan kertas oleh peneliti kepada guru. Kuesioner yang disusun berdasarkan adaptasi dari skala etos kerja yang dibuat oleh Eric Sopyan (2014) dan skala regulasi diri diadaptasi dari Rini Nuraini (2014). Analisia data yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik korelasi rank spearman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hubungan anatara etos kerja dengan regulasi diri pada guru sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Antapani Bandung berada pada kategori kuat dengan koefisien korelasi 0,607. Terdapat beberapa dimensi dalam variabel etos kerja dan regulasi diri yang memiliki pengaruh signifikan dan positif terhadap hubungan etos kerja dengan regulasi diri, yaitu aktualisasi diri (etos kerja) dengan strength (regulasi diri). Dimensi tersebut memiliki pengaruh paling positif dan signifikan dimana memiliki kontribusi sebesar 0,625. Adapun dalam penelitian ini ditemukan korelasi yang paling rendah antara regulasi diri dengan dimensi kerja adalah seni dengan koefisien korelasi 0,121 yang berarti sangat rendah.
