Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengukur kemampuan membaca pemahaman teks bahasa Perancis mahasiswa semester 2 Departemen Pendidikan Bahasa Perancis FPBS UPI tahun akademik 2016/2017 sebelum dan sesudah penerapan teknik permainan Bingo; (2) mendeskripsikan tingkat efektivitas penerapan teknik permainan Bingo dalam pembelajaran membaca pemahaman teks bahasa Perancis tingkat dasar; dan (3) menginformasikan pendapat mahasiswa tentang teknik permainan Bingo dalam pembelajaran membaca pemahaman teks bahasa Perancis tingkat dasar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode pre-experimental dengan desain One Group Pretest-Posttest. Sampel dari penelitian ini yakni karakteristik kemampuan membaca dari 30 orang mahasiswa semester 2 Departemen Pendidikan Bahasa Perancis FPBS UPI Tahun Akademik 2016/2017. Ada pun data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan membaca pemahaman teks bahasa Perancis mahasiswa yang dilihat dari nilai rata-rata prates sebesar 18 dan nilai rata-rata pascates sebesar 19,67. Berdasarkan hasil uji t-tes, teknik permainan Bingo dianggap efektif dan dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran membaca pemahaman teks bahasa Perancis. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil perhitugan statistik, yakni nilai t-hitung sebesar 3,847 dan nilai t-tabel yaitu sebesar 2,756 dengan taraf signifikansi 1% dan derajat kebebasan sebesar 29, sehingga t-hitung > t-tabel jadi hipotesis kerja dalam penelitian ini diterima. Selain itu, hasil angket menunjukkan bahwa seluruh mahasiswa (100%) menyatakan teknik permainan Bingo dapat digunakan untuk pembelajaran bahasa Perancis tingkat dasar karena memudahkan mereka dalam mempelajari teks bahasa Perancis dan sebagian besar mahasiswa (73,3%) menyatakan bahwa teknik tersebut dapat memperkaya kosakata mereka dan membantu mereka dalam memahami teks berbahasa Perancis. Dengan demikian, teknik permainan Bingo dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu teknik pembelajaran keterampilan membaca pemahaman teks bahasa Perancis.---- The aim of this research are to: (1) test the ability of students in second semester French Department FPBS UPI academic year 2016/2017 in reading comprehension a text in French before and after the application of the Bingo game technique; (2) describe the effectiveness of the Bingo game technique in reading comprehension a basic text in French; (3) inform students’ opinion on the Bingo game in reading comprehension a basic text in French. This study uses pre-experimental method with design: One Group Pre-test and Post-test. The samples of the study are the characteristic reading ability of 30 students of the second semester of academic year 2016/2017. The data obtained through test and questionnaire. The result shows that there is an increase result, from pre-test average 18 to 19,67 post-test value. Based on t-test, the Bingo game technique is considered effective and could be used in learning reading comprehension French text. Based on statistical calculations, it obtained the value of tcount is 3,847 and that obtained the value ttable with significance level 1% and the free degree (d.b) of 29 is 2,756, so tcount > ttable. Beside it, the questionnaire shows that all of students (100%) said that the Bingo game technique could be used in learning reading text because it makes them easier to understand and most of them (73,3%) said that the technique helps them to enrich their vocabulary and assist them in understanding the French texts. Through this research, it is expected that this Bingo game technique can be used as one of the learning technique in reading comprehension French text.
