Abstract

Kemampuan membuat peta konsep kemagnetan pada siswa merupakan hal penting yang harus diperhatikan. Berdasarkan hasil studi pendahuluan bahwa penilaian membuat peta konsep siswa menunjukkan hanya 5,71% siswa yang dapat menentukan konsep kemagnetan mendekati benar. Hal ini menunjukkan masih rendahnya kemampuan membuat peta konsep yang dimiliki oleh siswa. Oleh karena itu, harus ada upaya untuk meningkatkannya melalui inovasi model pembelajaran. Model cooperative learning tipe numbered heads together (NHT) diprediksi dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membuat peta konsep. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan gambaran mengenai kemampuan membuat peta konsep dan prestasi belajar siswa menggunakan model cooperative learning tipe NHT. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-experimental designs dengan desain one group pretest-posttest dan instrumen yang digunakan berupa instrumen peta konsep, 19 butir soal pilihan ganda dan 2 butir soal esai. Subjek penelitian siswa kelas IXK SMP Negeri 12 Bandung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh dari penerapan model cooperative learning tipe NHT pada kemampuan membuat peta konsep dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 36,71 pada konsep kemagnetan, 73,73 pada konsep medan magnet dan elektromagnetik, 90,97 pada konsep induksi elektromagnetik, dan 52,08 untuk peta konsep keseluruhan. Penerapan ----Student’s ability to make a concept map is something that needs to be concerned about. The previous study shows that only 5,71% of student’s population made the right concept map about magnetism.. This result indicates that the ability to make a concept map among the students is still poor. Therefore, there should be an effort to solve this problem through the innovation of learning model. Cooperative learning model type Number Heead Together (NHT) is predicted to be able to increase the skill to make a concept map. The main aim of this research is to get a big picture about the ability to make a concept map and also student’s achievement using cooperative learning model type NHT. The method of this research is pre-experimental design using one group pretest-posttest and the instrument consists of 19 points of multiple choices and 2 points of essay. The subject of this research is the students in 12 Junior High School in class IXK.
