Abstract

Prestasi belajar menjadi salah satu masalah yang banyak dialami peserta didik Sekolah Menengah Pertama. Prestasi belajar salah satunya dipengaruhi oleh motif berprestasi dan kebiasan belajar peserta didik. Masalah yang ditemukan berdasarkan hasil studi pendahuluan adalah adanya kesenjangan antara motif berprestasi, kebiasaan belajar, dan prestasi belajar pada peserta didik Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Cimalaka Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, penelitian mengenai hubungan motif berprestasi (X1) dan kebiasaan belajar (X2) dengan prestasi belajar (Y) dilakukan di SMP Negeri 2 Cimalaka dengan mengambil 101 peserta didik sebagai sampel dari jumlah populasi 221 peserta didik Kelas VIII. Penelitian yang dilakukan menggunakan metode korelasi ganda untuk mengetahui hubungan variabel X1 dan X2 dengan Y. Data penelitian yang diolah merupakan data yang sudah diverifikasi dan diuji normalitas serta linearitasnya. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan, ryx1x2 = 0,411 sehingga variabel-variabel yang diuji memiliki tingkat hubungan yang cukup kuat. Motif Berprestasi dan Kebiasaan Belajar memberikan kontribusi 16,81% terhadap prestasi belajar sedangkan sisanya 83,19% ditentukan oleh variabel lain. F hitung = 9,9 dan F tabel hasil interpolasi = 3,092 sehingga F hitung > F tabel atau 9,9 > 3,092 maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima, artinya terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara Motif Berprestasi dan Kebiasaan Belajar secara bersama-sama dengan Prestasi Belajar peserta didik Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Cimalaka Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018.---- Learning achievement becomes one of the problems encountered by students of Junior High School. The learning achievement can be affected by the achievement motive and the learning habits of the students. The result of the preliminary study showed that there was a gap between the achievement motive, the learning habits, and the learning achievement amongeighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Cimalaka 2017/2018. Based on the background, the research on the achievement motive (X1) and the learning habits (X2) with the learning achievement (Y) was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Cimalaka by involving 101 students as samples from a population of 221 eighth grade students. The research was conducted by using the double correlation method to comprehend the correlation of variabel X1 and X2 with Y. The analysed data is the data that had been tested its normality and linear. According to the result of the calculation, ryx1x2 = 0,411, therefore the variabels tested had a quite strong correlation. The achievement motive and the learning habits contributed 16,81% towards the learning achievement, while the rest 83,19%was determined by other variables. F calculate = 9,9 and F table the result of interpolation = 3,092 hence, F calculate> F table or 9,9 > 3,092 therefore, H0 was declinedand Ha was accepted. It means that there was a positive and significant correlation between achievement motive and the learning habits along with the learning achievement of the eighth grade studentsat SMP Negeri 2 Cimalaka 2017/2018.
