Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masalah pada pembelajaran algebraic thinking pada materi garis dan sudut yang menimbulkan adanya learning obstacle yang dialami siswa. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk membuat desain didaktis yang diharapkan dapat meminimalisir learning obstacle. Desain didaktis juga disusun berdasarakan learning trajectory pada pembelajaran algebraic thinking pada materi garis dan sudut kemudian diimplementasikan kepada siswa kelas VII di Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) yang belum pernah mendapat pengajaran algebraic thinking pada materi garis dan sudut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, serta studi dokumentasi. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa terjadi pengurangan learning obstacle siswa setelah mendapatkan pengajaran dengan desain didaktis yang disusun penulis. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa desain didaktis ini dapat meminimalisir learning obstacle yang ditemukan meskipun belum secara utuh dan dapat dijadikan salah satu rekomendasi bahan ajar pada pembelajaran algebraic thinking pada materi garis dan sudut.-----This study was carried out by the problem of algebraic thinking on the material of line and angle learning that leads to students’ learning obstacles. Based on this problem, the purpose of this study was to create a didactic design that was expected to minimize the learning obstacle. The didactic design was also arranged based on the learning trajectory in algebraic thinking on the material of line and angle learning and then implemented to seventh graders of Junior High School (SMP) who have never received algebraic thinking on line and angle material. The method used in this study was qualitative method and the techniques employed for obtaining the data were observation, interview, and documentation study. The result showed that there was a reduction of students’ learning obstacle after getting the didactic design instruction arranged by the author. It can be concluded that the didactic design can minimize the learning obstacle discovered, though it is not yet fully covered and can be one of teaching material recommendations on algebraic thinking on the material of line and angle learning
