Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya proses pembelajaran yang kurang bermakna dan learning obstacle yang dialami siswa berdasarkan studi literatur maupun studi pendahuluan yang dilakukan peneliti. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk membuat desain didaktis alternatif yang diharapkan dapat meminimalisir learning obstacle yang dialami siswa dan menjadikan proses pembelajaran lebih bermakna. Desain didaktis alternatif terdiri dari tiga lesson design yang disusun berdasarkan learning trajectory konsep luas permukaan limas dan teori belajar yang relevan serta memperhatikan learning obstacle yang ada. Ketiga lesson design tersebut diimplementasikan kepada siswa kelas VIII Sekolah Menengah Pertama yang belum pernah mendapatkan pengajaran konsep luas permukaan limas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data triangulasi melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, desain didaktis ini dapat mengatasi beberapa learning obstacle yang dialami siswa meskipun belum secara penuh dan berdasarkan hasil implementasi telah dilakukan penyempurnaan terhadap desain didaktis tersebut yang dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu rekomendasi bahan ajar pada pembelajaran konsep luas permukaan limas;--- This research is distributed by the existence of less meaningful learning process and some learning obstacle experienced by students based on study of literature and study of preliminary conducted by researchers. Based on this, the purpose of this research is to make an alternative didactic design that is expexted to minimize the learning obstacle experienced by students and make the learning process more meaningful. The alternative didactic design consists of three lesson designs based on the learning trajectory surface area concept of pyramids and relevant learning theory with attention to existing learning obstacle. The three lesson designs were implemented to student’s VIII class of junior high school who never received the teaching of the surface area concept of pyramids. Method of this research is qualitative with triangulation data collection technique through observation, interview, and documentation study. Based on the research results, this didactic design can overcome some learning obstacle experienced by students although not yet fully and based on the results of the implementation has been made improvements to the didactic design that can be used as one of the learning materials recommendations on learning the surface area concept of pyramids
