Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pandangan siswa yang berpendapat bahwa fisika itu sulit. Metode pembelajaran eskperimen dapat menjadi alternatif solusi dari permasalahan tersebut, karena model pembelajaran ini dapat membuat siswa berpartisipasi aktif dan mengeluarkan. Tujuan penelitian ini mengetahui pengaruh metode eksperimen dalam pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar dan sikap ilmaih siswa SMA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu true experimental dengan desain pretest-posttest control group yang diterapkan di salah satu SMA Negeri di Purwakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gain yang dinormalisasi (<g>) untuk hasil belajar ranah kognitif sebesar 0,56 dengan kategori sedang. Profil sikap ilmiah siswa dapat berkembang dengan baik sebagai akibat dari metode eksperimen pada kelas eksperimen dengan pencapaian total rata-rata sebesar 82,21% dengan kategori sangat baik. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode eksperimen dapat mengembangkan kemampuan dalam ranah kognitif dan sikap ilmiah siswa SMA.;---This research is motivated by the view of students who think that physics is difficult. Experiment method can be an alternative solution of the problem, because this learning model can make students participate actively and issue. The purpose of this reseach is to know the influence of experimental method in learning to learning outcomes and students' scientific attitude in high school students. The research method used is true experimental with pretest-posttest control group design applied in one of the high school in Purwakarta. Research result shows that the normalized gain (<g>) for cognitive domain learning results is 0.56 in the medium category. The students' scientific attitude profile can develop well as a result of the experimental method in the experimental class with an average total achievement of 82.21% with very good category. It can be concluded that the application of experimental methods can develop skills in the cognitive domain and scientific attitude of high school students.
