Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS Kelas VIII SMP Labschool UPI Bandung. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut peneliti mengembangkan suatu penelitian yang bertema Pengaruh Penerapan Keterampilan Reinfocement (Penguatan) dalam Meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar Siswa dalam Pembelajaran IPS Kelas VIII SMP Labschool UPI Bandung. Metode penelitian menggunakan korelasional dan teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi. Adapun hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa variabel reinforcement verbal, reinforcement gestural, dan reinforcement mendekati tergolong pada kategori cukup tinggi. Variabel motivasi belajar siswa tergolong pada kategori cukup tinggi. Hal lain menyimpulkan bahwa tingkat reinforcement verbal berpengaruh positif terhadap motivasi belajar siswa pada taraf tidak signifikan. Tingkat reinforcement gestural berpengaruh positif terhadap motivasi belajar siswa pada taraf signifikan. Tingkat reinforcement dengan pendekatan pengaruh positif terhadap motivasi belajar siswa pada taraf tidak signifikan. Dan tingkat reinforcement ( penguatan ) berpengaruh positif terhadap motivasi belajar siswa pada taraf signifikan. Hasil penelitian terakhir tidak dapat digeneralisasikan untuk semua mata pelajaran, semua tingkatan sekolah, ataupun semua pendidik, sehingga diperlukan penelitian lanjutan yang berkaitan dengan pengaruh penerapan keterampilan Reinfocement (penguatan) untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS.;---This research is based on the low motivation of student learning in IPS classroom VIII SMP Labschool UPI Bandung. Based on that background the researcher develops a themed research Influence the application of skills reinforcement in improving students' learning motivation in learning ips class VIII SMP LABSCHOOL UPI Bandung. Research method using correlation and data analysis technique using regression analysis. The results of this study conclude that the variables of verbal reinforcement, gestural reinforcement, and reinforcement by approaching method are quite high. Student motivation variable is high enough category. Another concluded that the level of verbal reinforcement has a positive effect on students' learning motivation at an insignificant level. The level of gestural reinforcement has a positive effect on students' learning motivation at a significant level. The level of reinforcement by approaching have a positive effect on student’s learning motivation at insignificantlevel. And the level of reinforcement have a positive effect on student’s learning motivation at significant level. The results of the last study can not be generalized to all subjects, all levels of school, or all educators, so that further research is required in the application of skills reinforcement in improving students' learning motivation in learning IPS.
