Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh metode pembelajaran course review horay terhadap aktivitas belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPS di SMP Negeri 40 Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain “time series design” dengan pola “sebelum” dan “sesudah” yang masing-masing dilakukan sebanyak dua kali serta dilakukan treatment pada satu kelas saja yaitu kelas VIII-D. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik sampel bertujuan (purposive sample). Pengumpulan data aktivitas belajar siswa menggunakan angket tertutup. Setelah data terkumpul, lalu dilakukan analisis secara kuantitatif melalui uji hipotesis atau Uji-t. Diperoleh hasil analisis antara pengukuran pertama dan kedua sebelum diberikan treatment menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan antara keduanya. Hal yang sama juga terjadi pada pengukuran pertama dan kedua sesudah diberikan treatment menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan antara keduanya. Namun, terdapat perbedaan aktivitas belajar antara sebelum dan sesudah diberikan treatment. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan terdapat efektivitas dari metode pembelajaran course review horay yang berpengaruh terhadap aktivitas belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS.----------- This study aims to examine the effect of learning method of course review horay on student learning activities in Social Studies at 40 Bandung Junior High School. This research used quasi experimental method with design "time series design" with pattern "before" and "after" which each done in twice and also doing treatment on one class only that is in class VIII-D. Sampling using in this research is purposive sample technique. Data collection of student learning activities is using closed questionnaire. After the data are collected, then conducted a quantitative analysis through hypothesis test or t-test. The results obtained from the analysis of the first and second measurements before treatment showed no difference between the two. The same thing happened in the first and second measurements after treatment showed no difference between the two. However, there are differences in learning activities between before and after treatment. So it can be concluded there is the effectiveness of the learning method of course review horay that affects the student's learning activities in learning social studies.
