Abstract
Penelitian ini berjudul “penggunaan media smart body untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal anggota tubuh dan fungsinya pada anak tunarungu kelas II di SLB-B sumber sari Bandung”. Masalah yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah kemampuan mengenal anggota tubuh dan fungsinya melalui media smart bodypada anak tunarungu.Peneliti menemukan kasus pada anak tunarungu yang berada di kelas II SLB-B, ia kesulitan mengenal anggota tubuh dan fungsinya. Saat pembelajaran berlangsung guru telah menggunakan berbagai media, seperti puzzle dan miniatur anggota tubuh. Namun, anak masih kesulitan untuk memahami dan mengenal anggota tubuh, hal tersebut tidak disebabkan oleh faktor IQ, karena berdasarkan informasi yang diperoleh peneliti menunjukkan bahwa IQ anak normal.Mengenal anggota tubuh dan fungsinya sangat penting bagi anak. Oleh karena itu peneliti menerapkan media smart bodyuntuk mengenalkan anggota tubuh dan fungsinya.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya peningkatan kemampuan mengenal anggota tubuh dan fungsinya pada anak tunarungu melalui media smart body. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalahSingle Subject Research (SSR),dengan desain A-B-A. Metode ini digunakan karena mengambil pendekatan individual dalam menerapkan media smart body.Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah GPR, siswa tunarungu kelas 2 yang memiliki kesulitan dalam mengenali anggota tubuh dan fungsinya. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan analisis dalam kondisi dan analisis antar kondisi dengan teknik statistik deskriptif.Hasil penelitian menunjukkanbahwa pada Mean levelbaseline-1 (A-1) nilainya sama rata 38,89%,. Mean level fase intervensi (B) nilainya yaitu 57,40%, danMean levelpada baseline-2 (A-2) mengalami peningkatan hingga 72,21%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media smart bodydapat meningkatkan kemampuan mengenal anggota tubuh dan fungsinya pada subjek penelitian. Penelitian ini tidak hanya direkomendasikan bagi guru agar media smart body ini dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran disekolah, tetapi juga bagi peneliti lainnya untuk melakukan penelitian yang sama tetapi dengan sampel yang berbeda. Kata kunci: Anak Tunarungu, Smart Body Media, Mengenal Anggota Tubuh dan Fungsinya, The problem discussed in this research is the ability to recognize body members and its functions through the smart body media on a child with hearing impairment. Researcher found a case on a grade 2 student with hearing impairment in SLB-B. He was difficult to recognize body members and its function. When the learning process of parts of body and its function took place , teacher has been using various media, such as puzzle, and miniature of body members. However, the child was still difficult to understand and to recognize body members and its functions. It happened not because of IQ factor, since the information obtained by researcher show that child has a normal IQ. Recognizing body members and its function is crucial for children. Therefore, the researcher decide to apply smart body media to introduce body members and its function on the child.The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is an increasement in child’s ability to recognize body members and its functions by applying smart body media. The participant on this research is GPR, a Grade II Student with hearing loss who has difficulties in recognizing the body members and its functions. The method used in this research is Single Subject Research (SSR) with A – B – A design. This method is used because it took individual approach in implementing the use of smart body media. Data collected were analyzed using analysis in condition and analysis between condition with descriptive statistic technique. The results showed that the equal mean beseline-1 (A-1) is 38,89%. Mean level intervention phase (B) is 57,40% and mean level baseline 2 (A-2) has increased until 72,21%. As a result, It can be concluded that the use of smart body media can increase the ability to recognize the body members and its functions on the research subject (GPR). This study is not only recommended for teacher so that smart body media could be used in learning process at School, but also for other researchers to conduct the same topic of study but using another sample.
