Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya penurunan hasil belajar siswa SMA Swasta se-Kota Bandung dilihat dari nilai rata-rata ujian nasional pada mata pelajaran ekonomi tahun ajaran 2015//2016. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh self-concept terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran ekonomi dengan variabel kontrol sosial ekonomi orang tua. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu survei eksplanatori. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPS SMA Swasta se-Kota Bandung sebanyak 620 siswa. Dengan menggunakan teknik sampel random sampling dan proportional random sampling diperoleh sampel sebanyak 243 siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) hasil belajar siswa berada pada kategori kurang dari KKM, self-concept dan sosial ekonomi orang tua siswa berada pada kategori sedang; (2) self-concept berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa; (3) dilihat dari sosial ekonomi orang tua berdasarkan pendidikan orang tua yang tinggi dan rendah, terdapat perbedaan pengaruh self-concept terhadap hasil belajar siswa.;---This research is motivated by the decrease of students' achievement of private high school in Bandung City seen from the average value of national exam on economic subjects of 2015 // 2016 academic year. This study aims to determine the effect of self-concept on student learning outcomes on economic subjects with the parental socio-economic as control variables. The research method used is explanatory survey. The population in the study were students of class XI IPS of Private High School in Bandung as many as 620 students. By using sample random sampling technique and proportional random sampling, there were 243 students. Data analysis technique used is simple linear regression. The results showed that: (1) student learning outcomes are in the category less than minimum completeness criteria, self-concept and sosial economic status of parents of students in middle category; (2) self-concept has a positive and significant effect on student learning outcomes; (3) seen from the socio-economic parent based on high and low parental education, there are differences in the influence of self-concept ff student learning outcomes .
