Abstract
Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif yang membahas mengenai penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Games Tournament (TGT) dengan metode bisik berantai dalam pembelajaran berbahasa untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas II Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses dan hasil peningkatan keterampilan berbicara dengan menerapkan model TGT. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan berdasarkan identifikasi masalah pada kegiatan praktik terbimbing yang menunjukan bahwa keterampilan berbicara siswa tergolong rendah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan model Kemmis & Taggart yang dimulai dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Adapun instrumen pengumpul data berupa lembar observasi siswa dan guru, lembar kinerja siswa dan lembar catatan lapangan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDN Cibogo kota Bandung dengan jumlah partisipan 24 siswa yang terdiri dari 14 siswa laki-laki dan 10 siswa perempuan pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2016/2017. PTK ini dilaksanakan sebanyak 2 siklus dengan menerapkan model TGT dengan metode bisik berantai yang terdiri dari langkah penyajian kelas, pembentukan kelompok, permainan, turnamen dan penghargaan kelompok serta dipadukan dengan metode bisik berantai. Adapun indikator keterampilan berbicara siswa yang diukur dalam penelitian ini meliputi: 1) kelancaran, 2) intonasi, 3) keberanian, 4) ekspresi dan 5) volume suara. Berdasarkan penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa terdapat perkembangan proses pembelajaran pada setiap siklus yang mengakibatkan peningkatan rata-rata keterampilan berbicara siswa dan peningkatan hasil keterampilan berbicara siswa dari siklus I sebesar 42% meningkat menjadi 92% pada siklus II. Maka dari itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model kooperatif tipe Team Games Tournament (TGT) dengan metode bisik berantai dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas II sekolah dasar.;---This research is a type of qualitative research that discusses the implementation of cooperative learning model type of Team Games Tournament (TGT) with chain whisper method in language learning to improve the speaking skills of second grade students of elementary school. This research aims to describe the process and result of improving speaking skill by applying TGT model. This research was conducted based on problem identification in guided practice activity which showed that students' speaking skill was low. The research method used in this research is Classroom Action Research Method (PTK) with Kemmis & Taggart model starting from planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The data collection instruments are student and teacher observation sheet, student performance sheet and field note sheet. This research was conducted at SDN Cibogo Bandung with the amount of participants 24 students consisting of 14 male students and 10 female students in the even semester of the academic year 2016/2017. This PTK is implemented in 2 cycles by implementation a TGT model with chain whisper method consisting of class presentation steps, group formation, games, tournaments and group awards and combined with a serial whisper method. The indicators of students' speaking skills measured in this study include: 1) fluency, 2) intonation, 3) courage, 4) expression and 5) volume. Based on this research found that there is development of learning process in each cycle which resulted in increasing the average of students 'speaking skills and improvement of students' speaking skill result from the first cycle of 58% increased to 92% in cycle II. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Implementation Of Cooperative Learning Model Type Of Team Games Tournament (TGT) With Chain Whisper Method can improve the speaking skill of second grade students of elementary school.
