Abstract
Permasalahan di dalam penelitian ini terkait dengan pembelajaran IPS yang dilakukan oleh guru yang masih kurang kreatif, khususnya dalam mengeksplorasi pemikiran-pemikiran siswa. Pembelajaran masih dominan berorientasi pada buku mata pelajaran, padatnya muatan kurikulum, dan masih ada anggapan bahwa IPS merupakan pelajaran yang mengutamakan hapalan. Berdasar hal tersebut, penelitian mengkaji permasalahan dengan menggunakan model inkuiri dan transdisipliner berbasis International Baccalaureate-Primary Years Program dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metoda eksplorasi, penelitian tindakan dan kasus observasi mikroetnografi, yaitu kasus yang ada hanya pada wilayah tertentu, dan hal ini hanya satu kelas, sehingga permasalahan dalam kasus tersebut diselesaikan dengan menggunakan prosedur penelitian tindakan kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan hasil dalam proses pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial dengan menggunakan model inkuiri dan transdisipliner berbasis International Baccalaureate-Primary Years Program. Peningkatan tersebut terlihat dari hasil tindakan pembelajaran pada setiap siklus yang dilakukan. Perubahan dalam pembelajaran IPS menggunakan model inkuiri meliputi pemahaman aspek konsep, pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan tindakan. Demikian pula dalam pembelajaran IPS menggunakan pendekatan transdisipliner, perubahan terjadi dalam kemampuan merumuskan hipotesis, observasi, analisis dan konklusi. Hasil implementasi tindakan pembelajaran adalah model pendekatan transdisipliner berbasis International Baccalaureate-Primary Years Program yang disesuaikan dengan kondisi Sekolah Dasar di Indonesia. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan kepada para praktisi agar dapat menerapkan model inkuiri dan pendekatan transdisipliner berbasis International Baccalaureate-Primary Years Program dalam pembelajaran IPS dan mata pelajaran lainnya di SD sesuai dengan konteks dan iklim sekolah. ;---The research problem related to the Social Sciences learning from the teacher that are not creative, especially in exploring the student idea. The learning process is dominant by book-oriented on text-book, full intensity on curriculum content, and social paradigm where the Social Sciences are the lesson mostly depends on memorizing. Based on the problems, this research aims to investigate how the inquiry model and trans-disciplinary approach based on International Baccalaureate-Primary Years Program practiced in Social Sciences. The research uses qualitative approach with exploration method, action research and micro-ethnography observation cases, the case that have own area. In this regard, has only one class. As a result, the problem in the case finished with research procedure of class action. The results explained that the inquiry model and trans-disciplinary based on International Baccalaureate-Primary Years Program might increase the result on the social science learning process. The increasing may examined from the result of learning action in in every cycle. Modification in Social Science learning with inquiry model includes on the understanding of aspect concept, knowledge, skill, and action. As well as on the Social Science learning with trans-disciplinary approach, the changes reflect on the skill in formulating the hypothesis, observation, analysis, and conclusion. The implementation result on learning action is trans-disciplinary approach model based on International Baccalaureate-Primary Years Program with adjustment on the condition of Primary School in Indonesia. The result would be apply as an innovative learning model for the practitioner and trans-disciplinary approach based on International Baccalaureate-Primary Years Program the Social Science subject and other primary school subject as the context and school condition.
