    Abstract

    Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses dan hasil keterampilan berdiskusi dalam pembelajaran, dengan menggunakan pendekatan conferencing di kelas V Sekolah Dasar (SD). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan berdasarkan identifikasi masalah yang menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan berdiskusi siswa di kelas tersebut tidak sesuai dengan proses diskusi sebagaimana mestinya atau tergolong rendah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan di salah satu Sekolah Dasar yang berada di Kota Bandung dengan subjek penelitian 36 orang siswa. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilakukan dengan menerapkan pendekatan conferencing, yang secara struktur terdiri dari tiga bagian utama, yaitu 1) permulaan, 2) pertengahan, dan 3) akhir. Adapun indikator keterampilan berdiskusi yang diukur meliputi hal-hal berikut, yaitu 1) keberanian berbicara, 2) mengungkapkan pendapat, 3) menanggapi pendapat, 4) menerima pendapat, dan 5) pembagian kesempatan berbicara. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil keterampilan berdiskusi siswa dari siklus ke siklus, dimulai dari siklus I 37,74%, siklus II 61,66%, dan siklus III 88,88% Maka dari itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan pendekatan conferencing dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berdiskusi siswa kelas V di Sekolah Dasar. Kata kunci: Pendekatan Conferencing, Keterampilan Berdiskusi. This is qualitative research which aimed to describe the process and results of the student discussion skills using on learning using conferencing approach in grade V elementary school (SD). This research was ruined based on the identification of problems indicating that the students' discussion skills in the class were not in accordance with the process of being properly or low. The method used is the method of action research (PTK) carried out in one of the elementary schools in the city of Bandung with 36 research subjects 5th grade students of Class Action. Research is done by applying conferencing approach, structures of the conference to three main parts, namely the beginning, middle, and last. The indicators of discussion skills measured include, 1) courage to speak, 2) express opinion, 3) respond to opinion, 4) accepting opinions, and 5) distribution of speech opportunities. Based on this study found that an increase in student discussion skills result from cycle to cycle, starting from the first cycle of 37.74%, 61.66% the second cycle and the third cycle 88.88% Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of conferencing approach can Improves students' discussion skills in grade V in elementary school.
