Abstract
Lemahnya kemampuan apresiasi siswa dalam mengapresiasi suatu karya seni merupakan permasalahan yang sering muncul dalam pembelajaran seni tari. Pembelajaran seni tari untuk meningkatkan kemampuan apresiasi siswa melalui pembelajaran Tari Piring di kelas VIII Sekolah Indonesia Kuala Lumpur merupakan pembelajaran seni tari yang berupaya meningkatkan kemampuan apresiasi siswa. Tujuan penilitian ini mengenai, 1) Mengetahui kemampuan apresiasi dalam pembelajaran seni tari sebelum diterapkannya pembelajaran Tari Piring. 2) Mengetahui proses pembelajaran Tari Piring untuk meningkatkan kemampuan apresiasi. 3)Mendapatkan hasil mengenai pembelajaran Tari Piring untuk meningkatkan kemampuan apresiasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode eksprimen dengan desain one-group pretest-design.Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, studi litelatur, dan tes. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan prosedur analisis pendekatan kuantitatif. Dari hasil penelitian dan pengolahan data yang telah dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode tersebut, diperoleh hasil uji t yang membuktikan bahwa terjadinya peningkatan yang signifikan, karena perolehan nilai rata-rata Pretest hanya mendapat nilai 68, 6, sedangkan nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh pada saat Posttest yaitu 91, 93. Meningkatnya kemampuan siswa dapat dilihat dari hasil uji hipotesis dengan uji t menghasilkan thitung>ttabel dengan nilai 42, 5 dan nilai ttabel yaitu 1,761. Jadi, pembelajaran seni tari melalui bahan ajar Tari Piring cukup signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan apresiasi pada siswa kelas VIII Sekolah Indonesia Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. Akhir penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran Tari Piring dapat meningkatkan kemampuan apresiasi siswa. Kata Kunci: Pembelajaran Seni Tari, Pembelajaran Tari Piring, Apresiasi Less appreciation to the work of art shown by the students is the problem that usually encounter in the learning dance. Education in dance to increase the students’ sense of appreciation through learning Tari Piring dancein VII grade of Indonesia Kuala Lumpur Schoolis dance education which tried to increase the students’ sense of appreciation. The purposes of this experiment are 1) Knowing the students’sense of appreciation toward dance learning before the implementation of learning Tari Piring dance. 2) Knowing the process of learning Tari Piring to increase the students’ sense of appreciation. 3) Gaining result regarding TariPiring learning to increase student’s sense of appreciation toward dance education. The method used in this research is experiment with one-group pretest-design. The data gathering technique were observation, interview, documentation, literature study, and test. The data got from the experiment was analyze by using quantitative approach procedure. From the result of the experiment and data analysis that have been done, the t test number obtained shown that there were significant increase, because the average score for the pretest was 68,6 , meanwhile the average score of the posttest was 91,93. The increase of students’ ability can be seen from the result hypothesis test through t test which resulted tcount > ttablewith the score of 42,5 and the ttablescore was 1,761. So , learning the art of dance through teaching material Tari Piring shown significant increase in sense of appreciation in students grade VIII of Indonesia Kuala Lumpur School Malaysia. The conclusion of this experiment is learning Tari Piring can increase students’ sense of appreciation. Key words: Dance Education, Learning Tari Piring, Appreciation.
