Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi proses pembelajaran aktivitas aquatik di sekolah yang masih kurang memperhatikan siswa dalam ranah afektif/sosial khususnya pada life skills. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dalam kecakapan siswa melalui model kooperatif dalam aktivitas pembelajaran aquatik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan melalui metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Penelitian ini terdiri atas beberapa tahapan, yaitu sebagai berikut: (1) perencanaan tindakan, (2) pelaksanaan tindakan, (3) observasi, dan (4) refleksi. Tempat penelitian di kolam renang Panghegar Waterboom dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri Buahbatu Selatan Kota Bandung yang berjumlah 35 siswa. Proses penelitian dibagi menjadi dua siklus yang terdiri atas empat tindakan. Setiap tindakan menggunakan berbagai tugas gerak yang dikemas dalam bentuk permainan yang bertahap dari yang tidak memakai alat hingga memakai alat. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan instrumen observasi. Kemudian semua data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan teknik persentase. Nilai rata-rata keseluruhan data awal adalah 59% dan siklus 1 tindakan 1 adalah 63%, siklus 1 tindakan 2 adalah 71%, siklus 2 tindakan 1 adalah 80%, dan siklus 2 tindakan 2 adalah 87% dari rata-rata seluruh aspek (communication, effort, dan teamwork/cooperation). Berdasarkan hasil analisis data,dapat disimpulkan model kooperatif melalui life skills pada aktivitas pembelajaran aquatik dapat meningkatkankemampuan kecakapan siswa. Sebagai saran dari hasil penelitian, dalam pemberian materi life skills pada aktivitas pembelajaran aquatik, hendaknya diberikan secara bertahap dari yang termudah sampai yang kompleks dengan mengetahui tingkat pertumbuhan dan perkembangan, juga aktivitas permainan disesuaikan dengan kemampuan anak pada umumnya.,---The background of this research is learning process of aquatic activity in school which still less attention to student in affective / social aspect especially in life skills. The purpose of this study to examine the level of ability in the skills of students through cooperative models in aquatic learning. The method of this research is Classroom Action Research. This research consists of several steps, namely : (1) action planning, (2) action, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. This research taken place in swimming pool of Panghegar Waterboom with subject of research class V of Buahbatu Selatan Primary School of Bandung City as much as 35 students. The research process is divided into two cycles consisting of four actions. Each action uses a variety of movement tasks that are packaged in a gradual game from a non-wearing tool to a tool. Data were collected using observation instruments. Then all the data collected were analysed using percentage technique. The overall average value of preliminary data was 59% and cycle 1 of action 1 was 63%, cycle 1 of action 2 was 71%, cycle 2 of action 1 was 80%, and cycle 2 of action 2 was 87% from all aspects (communication, effort, and teamwork / cooperation). Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded cooperative model through life skills on aquatic activities learning can improve students skill ability. As a suggestion of the results of this research is giving life skills material on aquatic activities learning should be gradually given from the easiest to the complex by knowing the growth and development rate, as well as game activity adjusted to the ability of children in general.
