Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar teori kinetik gas menggunakan multi mode visualisasi untuk implementasi model pembelajaran levels of inquiry yang berorientasi kemampuan literasi sains siswa SMA. Unsur-unsur yang digali meliputi: 1) kualitas bahan ajar teori kinetik gas yang dikembangkan berdasarkan penilaian ahli dan pengguna pada segi kelayakan isi, media, dan bahasa, 2) peningkatan kemampuan literasi sains siswa, dan 3) tanggapan siswa terhadap bahan ajar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian campuran dengan desain eksploratori (Exploratory Design) dan model pengembangan bahan ajarnya menggunakan model dari Borg dan Gall dengan fokus pengembangan pada materi teori kinetik gas. Revisi bahan ajar dilakukan tiga kali dengan dua tahap pengujian lapangan. Pengujian pertama dilakukan pada sampel kecil yaitu satu kelas eksperimen dan pengujian kedua pada sampel besar yaitu satu kelas eksperimen dan satu kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) kualitas bahan ajar teori kinetik gas yang dikembangkan layak digunakan dengan kategori sangat baik, 2) bahan ajar teori kinetik gas dengan multi mode visualisasi pada pembelajaran levels of inquiry mampu meningkatkan kemampuan literasi sains siswa secara signifikan pada semua aspek yaitu aspek kompetensi, pengetahuan, dan sikap, 3) hampir seluruh siswa yang menjadi responden memberikan tanggapan setuju bahwa bahan ajar teori kinetik gas yang digunakan memberikan kemudahan dalam belajar. Kata Kunci: Multi Mode Visualisasi, Levels of Inquiry, Literasi fisika This research aim to develope physics teaching material using multi mode visualization to implement levels of inquiry learning model which oriented to the senior high school students’ ability of physics literacy. The extractive aspects covers: 1) the teaching material quality of kinetic theory of gas which was developed based on the assessment of experts and users in terms of appropriateness of content, media, and language, 2) enhancement of students’ ability of physics literacy, and 3) response of students toward teaching material. The method used in this research is mix method with exploratory design. In addition, the teaching material development using the model of the Borg and Gall with materials development focus on the kinetic theory of gases. Material revision performed three times with two field test phases. First test performed to small sample classified to experiment class and second test performed to big sample consist of one experiment class and one control class. The results showed a positive thing: 1) the teaching material quality of kinetic theory of gases which developed is suitable to be used with very good categories, 2) the teaching material of kinetic theory of gases with multi mode visualization to implement levels of inquiry learning model is able to increase the students’ ability of physics literacy significantly for all aspects, and 3) almost all of the student respondents responded agreed that the teaching materials of kinetic theory of gases wich was used provides easy of learning.
