    Abstract

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh nilai rata-rata kelas yang diperoleh kelas Va sebanyak
    52,56 dan ketuntasan belajar yang tuntas hanya mencapai 13,6% dan yang tidak tuntas
    mencapai 86,4% terhadap soal pre-test yang diberikan. Hal ini disebabkan karena
    pembelajaran hanya sebatas mengingat, siswa tidak difasilitasi pembelajaran yang dapat
    mereka temukan sendiri. Model inkuiri diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep
    siswa pada pembelajaran tematik. Penelitian ini dilakukan kepada siswa kelas Va di salah
    satu SDN Kecamatan Sarijadi, Kota Bandung. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan
    pelaksanaan penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep
    pada pembelajaran tematik bagi siswa kelas V SD dan mendeskripsikan peningkatan
    pemahaman konsep pada pembelajaran tematik bagi siswa kelas V SD. Penelitian
    menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas model Kemmis dan Taggart dengan tiga
    siklus dan setiap siklusnya terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi.
    Hasil penelitian berdasarkan instrumen tes pemahaman konsep menunjukan pada siklus I
    ketuntasan belajar siswa mencapai 40,9% dan pada siklus II mencapai 90,9%. Nilai rata-rata
    kelas yang diperoleh pada siklus I mencapai 64,9 dan meningkat pada siklus II yaitu
    mencapai 88,7. Simpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu penerapan model inkuiri terhadap
    pemahaman siswa meningkat.----------This research is motivated by the average score obtained by Va class 52,56 and the complete
    only reached 13,6% while unfinished reached 84,4% to given pre-test question. It is caused
    by learning is limitation in learning that only to remembering, students are not facilitated to
    learning that they can find themselves. The inquiry model is expected to improve students
    conceptual understanding on thematic learning. This research is conducted to Va class
    students in one of Sukasari Subdistrict SDN (Public Elementary School), Bandung City. The
    purpose of this research is to describe the implementation of the inquiry learning model in
    order to improve concept understanding on thematic learning for grade V elementary echool
    students and to describe the improvement of concept comprehension on thematic learning
    for grade V elementary school students. The research using the method of Kemmis and
    Taggart on Class Action Research with two cycles and each cycle consists of planning,
    implementation, observation, and reflection. Based on the concept comprehension test
    instrument test, the result of the research based on concept comprehension test instrument
    shows that in cycle I, the students learning completeness is reached 40.9% and the second
    cycle reaches 90.9%. The class’s average obtained in the first cycle reached 64.9 and
    increased in cycle II reaching 88.7. The conclusion of this research is the application of
    inquiry model to students understanding is increased.
