Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih rendahnya kemampuan penerapan konsep pada siswa kelas XI IPS SMAN 1 Katapang Kabupaten Bandung. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model collaborative learning teknik buzz group terhadap kemampuan penerapan konsep pada siswa dalam mata pelajaran ekonomi dengan materi indeks harga dan inflasi. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas XI IPS 4 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPS 1 sebagai kelas kontrol. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan nonequivalent control group design. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes tertulis yang berbentuk essay. Analisis data menggunakan uji t (paired-sample t test dan independent sample t test). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (i) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan penerapan konsep pada siswa kelas eksperimen antara sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan dengan menggunakan model collaborative learning teknik buzz group dengan peningkatan pada kategori sedang, (ii) terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan penerapan konsep pada siswa kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model collaborative learning teknik buzz group dengan siswa kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode ceramah.----------This research was motivated by low of this application of concept in class XI IPS SMAN 1 Katapang Kabupaten Bandung. The purpose of this research was know the influence of using collaborative learning with buzz group techniques towards application of concept at students in economic subjects with price index and inflation material. The subject of the research was students of class XI IPS 4 as the experimental class and class XI IPS 1 as the control class. The method used was quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group design. The research instrument in pencil and paper test in essay. Data analysis technique used was t analysis (paired-sample t test and independent sample t test). The results showed: (i) there were differences on application of concept in experimental class between before and after given the treatment using a model of collaborative learning with buzz group techniques an increasing on medium category, (ii) there are differences increasing application of concept in class experimental using model of collaborative learning with buzz group techniques and control class which used lecture method.
