Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya learning obstacle yang dialami siswa pada konsep komposisi fungsi. Padahal konsep komposisi fungsi memiliki peranan penting sebagai prasyarat sebelum siswa belajar konsep lain. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk meminimalisir learning obstacle yang dialami siswa pada konsep komposisi fungsi. Desain penelitian ini disusun sesuai tiga tahapan Penelitian Desain Didaktis, yaitu: (1) analisis situasi didaktis, (2) analisis metapedadidaktik, dan (3) analisis retrosfektif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan dokumentasi. Temuan dari penelitian ini adalah learning obstacle pada konsep komposisi fungsi, learning trajectory konsep komposisi fungsi, dan desain didaktis konsep komposisi fungsi. Desain didaktis tersebut dibuat berdasarkan learning trajectory, mempertimbangkan learning obstacle yang ada, dan memperhatikan respon siswa. Terdapat 3 desain didaktis konsep komposisi fungsi yang dibuat, yaitu desain didaktis 1 dengan tujuan siswa dapat mendeskripsikan konsep komposisi fungsi, desain didaktis 2 dengan tujuan siswa dapat mendeskripsikan sifat-sifat komposisi fungsi, dan desain didaktis 3 dengan tujuan siswa dapat menerapkan konsep komposisi fungsi dan sifat-sifat komposisi fungsi dalam pemecahan masalah. Kemudian desain didaktis tersebut diimplementasikan kepada siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas kelas XI. Berdasarkan hasil implementasi, diperoleh bahwa desain didaktis konsep komposisi fungsi yang dibuat mampu mengatasi learning obstacle pada konsep komposisi fungsi. Namun, desain didaktis konsep komposisi fungsi yang telah diimplementasikan tetap dilakukan perbaikan, sehingga diperoleh desain didaktis revisi pada konsep komposisi fungsi berdasarkan hasil implementasi. ;--- This research was motivated by the existed learning obstacles experienced by students in learning composition of functions concept. Meanwhile, composition of functions concept is one of basic mathematics concepts need to be understood before the students learn other concepts. According to that condition, the purpose of this study was to minimize learning obstacles experienced by students in learning composition of functions concept. The research design was constructed according to the three stages of didactical design research, which are: (1) didactical situation analysis, (2) metapedadidactic analysis, and (3) retrosfective analysis. The research method used in this research was the qualitative method of data collection techniques through observation and documentation. The results of this research are learning obstacle of composition of functions concept, learning trajectory of composition of functions concept, and the didactical design for composition of functions concept. The didactical design was made regarding to learning trajectory, considering the existed learning obstacles, and how the students responded. There were three didactical design of composition of functions concept created, which were didactical design 1 which aimed the students to be able to describe composition of functions concept, didactical design 2 which aimed the students to be able to describe the properties of composition of functions, and didactical design 3 which aimed the students to be able to apply composition of functions concept and properties in problem solving activity. Then the didactical design is implemented to Grade XI high school students. Based on the results of the implementation, it could be concluded that the didactical design concept created of composition of functions resolved learning obstacle of composition of functions concept. However, the didactical design of composition of functions concept that have been implemented still got some improvement in order to obtain a revised didactical design of composition of functions concept based on the results of the implementation.
