Abstract
Karya-karya Budi Darma baik novel maupun cerpen sering menampilkan keganjilan pada tiap tokoh. Keganjilan tersebut baik secara psikologis maupun fisik. Peneliti tertarik melihat keganjilan tokoh secara psikologis pada kumpulan cerpen Fofo dan Senggring. Peneliti ini bertujuan menunjukan gejala cinta diri berlebih. Gejala tersebut berdampak pada tokoh lain yang merasa terganggu. Berkenaan dengan hal itu, maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mengetahui penyebab gejala cinta diri pada tokoh; 2) mengetahui akibat dari gejala cinta diri pada tokoh. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif analitik. Objek penelitian ini yaitu tiga cerpen dalam kumpulan cerpen Fofo dan Senggring yakni “Kecap Nomor Satu di Sekeliling Bayi”, “Manggut-manggut Semacam Ini Biasakah?”, dan “Senggring”. Pengumpulan data dilakukan atas dasar pembacaan peneliti disertai pendapat para ahli. Teknik Analisis data berdasarkan kajian psikologi sastra dengan teori psikoanalisis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pertama, struktur dalam tiga cerpen mendukung gejala narsisime pada tokoh utama. Kedua, struktur kepribadian tokoh selalu memenangkan Id, sehingga tokoh-tokoh terkadang tidak peduli terhadap realitas dan tidak jarang mengganggu tokoh lain. Ketiga, dinamika kepribadian tokoh berdasarkan pada insting psikologis. Pendistribusian energi sepenuhnya dikembalikan pada Id. Kecemasan pada tokoh utama merupakan kecemasan post-Oedipal. Keempat, gejala narsisisme tokoh disebabkan adanya pujian dari tokoh lain. Gejala tersebut mengakibatkan para tokoh tidak peduli pada realitas dan terkadang mengganggu tokoh lain. Narsisime pada tokoh-tokoh dalam tiga cerpen merupakan narsisisme destruktif karena tindakan mereka berupaya menghilangkan tokoh lain agar hanya mereka yang menjadi pusat pujian.;---Budi Darma works both novel and short stories often feature peculiarities in each character. The peculiarities are both psychological and physical. The researcher is interested in seeing the psychological peculiarity of the characters on the short story anthology Fofo dan Senggiring. The researcher found several stories showing symptoms of excessive self-love. These symptoms impact other characters who feel disturbed by them. In this regard, the study aims to 1) determine the cause of the symptoms on the characters of self-love; 2) know the result of the symptoms of love of self to the characters. The method used is descriptive analytic method. The research objects are three stories in the short story anthology Fofo dan Senggiring is “Kecap Nomor Satu di Sekeliling Bayi”, “Manggut-manggut Semacam Ini Biasakah?”, and “Senggring”.. Data collection is done on the basis of reading the texts along with experts opinion. Data analysis technique based on the study of psychology literature with psychoanalytic theory. The results of this study show that, first, the structures of the three stories are in favor of symptoms of narcissism on the main characters. Second, the structures of the personality always won Id, so the characters are often unaware of the reality and not infrequently disturbed other characters. Third, the dynamics of personalities are based on psychological instinct. The distribution of energy is fully restored on Id. Anxiety in the main character is a post-Oedipal anxiety. Fourth, the symptoms of narcissism characters due to the praise from other characters. These symptoms result in the main characters do not care about reality and sometimes disturb other characters. Narcissism on the characters in the three stories is a destructive narcissism because their actions seek to eliminate the other characters so that the only ones who become the center of compliments are them.
