Abstract
Penelitian ini menunjukkan profil konsistensi representasi dan koherensi siswa SMA Negeri di Kota Bandung dalam penguasaan konsep gerak lurus. Informasi mengenai konsistensi representasi sudah banyak diketahui, tetapi informasi mengenai koherensi masih belum banyak diketahui. Konsistensi representasi dan koherensi konseptual siswa berkaitan dengan pemahaman konsep dan kemampuan siswa dalam menggunakan soal multi representasi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode survey. Dari 219 orang siswa yang menjadi sampel penelitian, ditemukan bahwa jumlah siswa untuk kategori konsistensi representasi 14% konsisten, 74% cukup konsisten dan 11% tidak konsisten. Sedangkan untuk kategori koherensi konseptual terbagi dua. Pertama koherensi representasi dengan kategorinya tiga sekolah koherensi representasi dan tiga sekolah lainnya tidak koherensi representasi. Kedua koherensi kontekstual dengan kategorinya pada kode T1(Jarak dan Perpindahan) sampai T3 (Percepatan Rata-rata) koherensi kontekstual dan kode T4 (Gerak Jatuh Bebas) dan T5 (Gerak Vertikal ke Atas) tidak koherensi kontekstual. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa meskipun sudah memiliki kemampuan dalam menggunakan multi representasi, beberapa siswa masih belum memiliki pemahaman yang sama di setiap sekolah pada materi yang sama.;--- This study shows the profile of representational consistency and conceptual coherence state high school students’ in Bandung on mastering the concept of Linear motion. Information about the representational consistency is well known, but information about the conceptual coherence is unknown. Representational consistency and conceptual coherence related with understanding the concepts and the student's ability to use multi representations. This research is a descriptive research. The method used is a survey method. From 219 samples of the research, it found that for representational consistency category 14% are consistent, 74% are moderately consisten and 11% are inconsistent. As for the conceptual coherence is divided into two categories. First is representational coherence with categories three schools representation coherence and three other schools no representational coherence. Second is contextual coherence with categories on the theme of T1 (Distance and Displacement) to T3 (Acceleration) contextual coherence and theme T4 (Free Fall) and T5 (Upward Motion) no contextual coherence. These results indicate that although it already has the ability to use multiple representations, some students still do not have the same understanding in every school for the same material.
