Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat perbedaan peningkatan penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan berpikir siswa SMP kelas VIII pada materi gelombang bunyi, antara kelas yang menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis proyek dengan pendekatan integrasi STEM dan kelas yang menerapkan pembelajaran berbasis proyek tanpa pendekatan integrasi STEM. Penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk melihat keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek dengan pendekatan integrasi STEM serta tanggapan siswa terhadap model pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian randomized control group pretest posttest design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa dua kelas pada kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Antapani Jawa Barat denganmasing-masingkelasberjumlah 30 orang.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterlaksanaan pembelajaran berbasis proyek dengan pendekatan integrasi STEM selalumeningkatpadasetiappertemuandanhampirseluruhnyaterlaksanasesuaidengan RPP.Tanggapan siswa terhadap pembelajaran secara umum sangat baik.Berdasarkanujibeda rata-rata, padatarafkepercayaan 95% (signifikansi 0.05) hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis proyek dengan pendekatan integrasi STEM tidakberbeda secara signifikan dalam meningkatkanpenguasaankonsepdengankelas yang menerapkan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek tanpa pendekatan integrasi STEM, dan secara signifikan lebih meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa.;--- The purpose of this study was to determine defferences of concept mastering and creative thinking skills of 8th grade students in learning sound waves between a class that implemented project based learning approach STEM integration and the class that implemented project based learning without approach STEM integration. This study also investigated how the progress of project based learning approach STEM integration. This study was designed by using the randomized controlgroup pretest-posttest design. The participants in this study were students of two classes of SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Antapani, West Java which each class consist of 30 students. The results of this study show that there is an improvement in the learning process for every meeting in both class. The students gave the positive responds regarding application of project based learing approach STEM integration. Base on different test based on the average, at 95% confidence level (significant 0.05) the findings show that application of project based learning with integrated STEM approach integration not different significanly with project based learning without approach STEM to improve student’s concept mastering, and significanly improve the results of creative thingking skills better than project based learning without approach STEM intgration.
