Abstract

Tujuan pendidikan matematika di sekolah mengarah kepada upaya meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, dibutuhkan alternatif model pembelajaran yangmampu meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Model yang diterpakan adalah Model Cooperative Learning tipe Jigsaw. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran matematika. Untuk mengarah pada tujuan tersebut peneliti menelaah: (a) pelaksanaan model cooperative learning tipe jigsaw pada mata pelajaran matematika materi sifat-sifat bangun datar (b) peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika setelah menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas V salah satu SDN di Bandung, dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 23 orang. Instrument yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi dan tes formatif untuk mengukur hasil belajar siswa. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah (a) pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model Cooperative Learning tipe Jigsaw (b) Hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I diperoleh nilai rata-rata 51.17 dan pada tindakan siklus II mengalami peningkatan yang cukup tinggi menjadi 80.74. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model cooperative learning tipe jigsaw dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran matematika. Adapun saran bagi guru hendaknya lebih kreatif dalam merancang pembelajaran yang bermakna supaya membuat siswa aktif, kreatif, efektif dan menyenangkan. ; The Purpose of mathematics education in school is directed to upgrade result of student learning. Therefor, it need alternative learning model that can upgrade the result of student learning. The model which will applied is Cooperative Learning Model with Jigsaw Type. The purpose of this research is to upgrade result of student learning. To lead for that goal, researchers are analyze: (a) implementation of cooperative learning model with jigsaw type, (b) upgrading the result of student learning. The methodology used in this research is class action research, with research subject is 5th grade elementary school of Cihampelas 3, with the number of students is 23 people. The instrument used is observation sheet, formative test, and student worksheet for measure the result of student learning. The result of this research are (a) implementation of learning undertaken by teacher with reference to the principle study of mathematics by applying Cooperative Learning Model with Jigsaw Type, (b) the result of student learning in the first cycle is obtained by the average value of 51.17 and in the second cycle is increased into 80.74. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that the application of Cooperative Learning Model with Jigsaw Type can upgrade the result of student learning in mathematics. The advice for teachers is should be more creative in designing meaningful learning in order to make student’s active, creative, effective, and fun.
