Abstract
Penelitian ini mengkaji perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman informasi sebelum dan setelah Program Pelatihan Membaca Cepat siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri 15 Bandung. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui perbedaan (1) kemampuan kecepatan membaca, dan (2) tingkat memahami bacaan pada siswa kelas VII sebelum dan setelah Program Pelatihan Membaca Cepat di SMP Negeri 15 Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain penelitian one group pretest-posttest. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan pretest, post-test dan angket terbuka. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling dengan jumlah sampel 78 siswa. Uji hipotesis menggunakan pengukuran kpm dan paired sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan (1) kemampuan kecepatan dan (2) pemahaman bacaan siswa kelas VII sebelum dan setelah Program Pelatihan Membaca Cepat di SMP Negeri 15 Bandung.;---The research analyses differences in information comprehension skills of 7th grade students, before and after the Speed Reading Training Program at SMP Negeri 15 Bandung. The aims of this research are to identify differences in 1) speed reading skills and 2) reading comprehension skills of 7th grade student’s, before and after the Speed Reading Training Program at SMP Negeri 15 Bandung. This research used quasi experiment method with one group pretest-posttest design. Hypothesis test used by kpm measuring and paired sample t-test. The result, there are differences in : 1) speed reading skills and 2)reading comprehension skills of 7th grade students, before and after the Speed Reading Training Program at SMP Negeri 15 Bandung.
