Abstract
Motivasi belajar merupakan hal yang penting dalam pembelajaran. Motivasi akan senantiasa menentukan intensitas usaha belajar, serta sangat berpengaruh terhadap ketahanan dan ketekunan belajar peserta didik sehingga tujuan yang dikehendaki oleh peserta didik dapat tercapai. Salah satu model yang dapat membantu peserta didik dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar adalah model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hasil belajar dan motivasi belajar peserta didik setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran CIRC. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen jenis Posstest-Only Control Design. Subjek penelitian adalah kelas X-4 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X-5 sebagai kelas kontrol. Variabel penelitian terdiri dari model pembelajaran CIRC sebagai variabel bebas (X) dan motivasi belajar sebagai variabel terikat (Y). Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes dan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik, yaitu uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis. Penelitian dengan angket dianalisis dengan menggunakan skala likert. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) hasil belajar kelas eksperimen setelah menggunakan model CIRC adalah 86% peserta didik mendapatkan nilai di atas KKM, (2) hasil belajar kelas kontrol setelah pembelajaran yang tidak menggunakan model CIRC adalah 28% peserta didik mendapatkan nilai di atas KKM, (3) motivasi belajar kelas eksperimen tergolong kuat, (4) motivasi belajar kelas kontrol tergolong kuat, (5) perbedaan hasil belajar kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, (6) perbedaan motivasi belajar (perhatian, relevansi, rasa percaya diri, kepuasan) kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Dengan demikian, maka model pembelajaran CIRC berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar dan motivasi belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran geografi, materi pokok Hidrosfer.---; Motivation to learn is important in learning. Motivation will always determine the intensity of the effort to learn, and very influential on the resilience and perseverance of learners so that the desired objectives can be achieved by learners. One model that can help learners to improve motivation to learn is the model of Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC). The purpose of this study was to determine learning outcomes and motivation of learners after using model CIRC. The method used is an experimental method types Posstest-Only Control Design. The research subject is class X-4 as the experimental class and class X-5 as the control class. The research variables consisted of CIRC learning model as the independent variable (X) and motivation to learn as a dependent variable (Y). The research instrument used was a test and questionnaire. Using statistical data analysis techniques, namely normality test, homogeneity, and hypothesis testing. Research by questionnaire were analyzed by using Likert scale. The results showed: (1) the results of experimental class learning after using the model CIRC is 86% of students scoring above KKM, (2) learning outcomes control class after learning that do not use the model CIRC is 28% of students scoring above KKM , (3) the motivation to study experimental class relatively strong, (4) motivation to learn control class relatively strong, (5) differences in learning outcomes experimental class and control class, (6) differences in motivation to learn (attention, relevance, confidence, satisfaction) experimental class and control class. Thus, the CIRC learning model affect the results of learning and motivation of learners in the subject of geography, subject matter hydrosphere.
