Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam mengapresiasi secara lisan kutipan novel. Siswa masih mengalami kesulitan dalam mengungkapkan pikiran, perasaan, dan gagasannya. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui (1) proses perlakuan dalam pembelajaran mengapresiasi secara lisan kutipan novel di kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol SMP Negeri 6 Cimahi; (2) kemampuan siswa dalam mengapresiasi secara lisan kutipan novel pada kelas eksperimen sebelum dan setelah penerapan teknik Dua Tinggal Dua Tamu di SMP Negeri 6 Cimahi; (3) kemampuan siswa dalam mengapresiasi secara lisan kutipan novel pada kelas kontrol sebelum dan setelah penerapan metode terlangsung di SMP Negeri 6 Cimahi; (4) ada atau tidaknya perbedaan yang signifikan pada kemampuan siswa dalam mengapresiasi secara lisan kutipan novel di kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan data yaitu tes, wawancara, dan observasi. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII D dan VIII B SMP Negeri 6 Cimahi. Nilai rata-rata prates siswa di kelas eksperimen adalah 68,96 dan pascates adalah 82,03. Nilai rata-rata prates kelas kontrol adalah 71,36 dan pascates adalah 75,9. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis dengan taraf kepercayaan 95% dan derajat kebebasan (dk) = 60, diperoleh hasil ttabel sebesar 2,000 dan thitung sebesar 4,1. Maka thitung > ttabel atau 4,1 > 2,000. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa teknik Dua Tinggal Dua Tamu efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran mengapresiasi secara lisan kutipan novel.;---This study examines the application of Two Stay Two Stray techniques orally in learning to appreciate the novel excerpt that has been overshadowed by the student's ability in appreciating novel orally quote low. Students still have difficulty in expressing thoughts, feelings, and ideas. The purpose of this study is to obtain a description relating to (1) the treatment process in learning to appreciate a verbal quote novels in the experimental class and control class SMP Negeri 6 Cimahi; (2) the ability of the students in appreciating novel orally quote the experimental class before and after the application of Two Stay Two Stray techniques in SMP Negeri 6 Cimahi; (3) the ability of students in appreciating verbally quote novel class control before and after the application of the method was apply in SMP Negeri 6 Cimahi; (4) the presence or absence of a significant difference in students' abilities to appreciate novel orally citation in the experimental class and control class. The method used in this study is quasi-experimental. The instruments used for data collection are test, interview, and observation. Samples were students of class VIII D and VIII B of SMP Negeri 6 Cimahi. The average value of pre-test students in the experimental class was 68,96 and the post-test was 82,03. The average value of the control class is 71,36 pretest and post-test was 75,9. Based on the hypothesis test with 95% confidence level and degrees of freedom (df) = 60, the result ttabel 2,000 and thitung 4.1.Therefore, thitung > ttabel or 4.1> 2,000. It can be concluded that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. This indicates that the technique of Two Stay Two Stray effectively used in learning to appreciate the verbal quotation novel.
