Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi kurangnya model pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran PAI. Peserta didik merasa jenuh dan bosan karena model pembelajaran yang digunakan didominasi dengan metode ceramah. Peserta didik kurang ikut berpartisipasi dan berperan aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang inovatif adalah quantum teaching. Model pembelajaran quantum teaching adalah model pembelajaran yang memadukan antara unsur seni dan proses pembelajaran yang berfokus pada hubungan lingkungan belajar dan unsur yang ada pada siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menguji efektivitas penggunaan model quantum teaching terhadap peningkatan pemahaman siswa pada materi akhlak di SMPN 43 Bandung tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Metode yang digunakan kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian the non equivalen pretest-posttest design (rancangan pretest-posttest yang tidak ekuivalen). Jenis rancangan ini biasanya dipakai pada ekperimen yang menggunakan kelas-kelas yang diperkirakan sama keadaan kondisinya. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes ranah prestasi belajar berupa pilihan ganda. Analisis data dengan cara uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji gain ternormalisasi, uji t paired sample test dan uji t independent sample test menggunakan statistik inferensial. Hasil pengolahan data dengan menggunakan uji t independent sample test post test kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol diketahui bahwa sig. (2-tailed) berjumlah 0,304 dimana 0,304 > 0,05, maka sesuai dasar pengambilan keputusan dalam uji independent sample test Ho diterima dan Ha ditolak yang artinya bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara siswa yang melakukan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model quantum teaching dan siswa yang tidak menggunakan model quantum teaching dalam proses pembelajaran. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil adalah bahwa model quantum teaching sama efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi akhlak kelas VIII di SMPN 43 Bandung tahun ajaran 2015/2016. ;---The background to the research is the lack of learning models used in Islamic Education teaching and learning process. Students feel bored because the learning model predominantly used is the lecturing method. Hence, they lack active participation in the teaching and learning process. One of the innovative learning models is quantum teaching. Quantum teaching learning model is a learning model combining the elements of arts and instruction, focusing on the link between learning environment and the elements existing in students. The purpose of this research is to find the effectiveness of quantum teaching model in improving students’ understanding of the materials in the subject of akhlak at SMPN (State Junior High School) 43 Bandung. The method employed was quasi-experimental with the non-equivalent pretest-posttest design. This type of design is typically used in an experiment with classes assumed to have similar conditions. The instrument used was a test of learning achievements with multiple choice questions. Data were analyzed with normality test, homogeneity test, normalized gain test, paired sample t-test, and independent sample t-test using inferential statistic. The result of independent sample t-test of the posttest results of the experimental and control classes shows that the sig.value (2-tailed) equals 0.304, where 0.304 > 0.05; hence, according to the decision rules of independent sample t-test, Ho is accepted and Ha is rejected, which means that there was no significant difference between students treated with quantum teaching model and those not taught with the model in the teaching and learning process. It can be concluded that quantum teachings models as effective as puzzles models in improving the learning outcomes of the eight grade students of SMPN 43 Bandung academic year 2015/2016 in the subject of akhlak.
