Abstract
Siswa memiliki permasalahan dalam belajar yaitu kurang terampil dalam mengingat. Metode mengingat merupakan aktivitas yang sesuai dengan karakteristik otak sehingga informasi yang ada dalam lingkungan dapat disimpan dan pada akhirnya dapat dimunculkan kembali pada saat diperlukan. Terdapat metode dasar untuk mengingat yaitu metode asosiasi dasar dan perantaian. Penelitiaan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pelatihan berbasis metode asosiasi dasar dan perantaian untuk meningkatkan kemampuan daya ingat siswa SMP dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif metode quasi eksperiment. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 45 Bandung. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 45 Bandung. Tehnik sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Berdasarkan analisis data secara umum kemampuan daya ingat peserta didik kelas VIII SMPN 45 Bandung berada pada kategori tinggi. Program peningkatan daya ingat dirumuskan berdasarkan gambaran kemampuan daya ingat peserta didik dengan menggunakan pengungkap kemampuan daya ingat untuk siswa SMP yang memuat rasional, tujuan program, asumsi dasar, sasaran program, waktu pelaksanaan program, prosedur pelaksanaan, indikator keberhasilan. Pelatihan peningkatan daya ingat yang dirancang terbukti efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan daya ingat peserta didik.;-- Students are facing problem in increasing their ability to to recollect their memories. Recalling memory method is an activity that is suitable with brain characteristic, so some information that we get can be stored and recalled whenever it is needed.There are two basic methods to remember things.They are Basic Associaton Method & Chainning Method. The research'objective is to find out the effectivity of a training (that is based on the two methods mention above )in raising junior high school stidents' memories using quasi experiment. This research was conducted in Junior High School no 45 Bandung, using purposive sampling. Based on the data analysis in general, it can be concluded that the participants' abilities to recollect their memories is at high level in the category. The program in enhancing learners' memory was constructed based on description of learners'memory using a tool to uncover the participants' ability to recollect their memories.The tool contains rationale, program's objective, procedure,the execution of the plan, and also success indicators. The Designed Training to improve memory proved to be effective in increasing learners memory.
