Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan kognitif dan profil sikap siswa. Pada kelas yang menerapkan model pembelajaran ICARE yang dipadukan dengan science magic dan kelas yang menerapkan model ICARE tanpa dipadukan dengan science magic. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian randomized pre-test post-test control group design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa dua kelas pada kelas X di salah satu SMA Kota Bandung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata gain yang ternormalisasi <g> pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,54 sedangkan pada kelas kontrol sebesar 0,36. Berdasarkan uji beda rata-rata kelas kontrol dan eksperimen pada taraf kepercayaan 95% (signifikansi 0,05) menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran model ICARE yang dipadukan dengan science magic secara signifikansi lebih meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif siswa dibandingkan pembelajaran model ICARE tanpa dipadukan science magic dengan pengaruh sedang. Selain itu, dari hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa profil sikap siswa terhadap fisika pada pembelajaran model ICARE yang dipadukan dengan science magic lebih baik dibandingkan tanpa science magic.;--- The purpose of this study was to determine the differences of cognitive competence improvement and knowing attitude profile of students in learning heat and temperature between a class that implemented ICARE model integrated with science magic and a class that implementes ICARE model integrated without science magic. This study also investigate how the progress of learning in ICARE Model science magic and ICARE model without science magic. This study was designed by using the randomized pre-test post-test control group design. The participants in this study were the tenth grade students in two classes of a senior high school in Bandung district. The result of this study show that there is an improvement in the learning process for every meeting in both class. It was found that class with ICARE model integrated with science magic got 0,54 while the another class got 0,36 in gain average normalized <g>. Base on different test based on the average, at 95% confidence level (significant 0,05) the findings show that ICARE model integrated with science magic significantly improve the result of cognitive competence result better than ICARE model without science magic. Beside that, this study also found that the implementation of ICARE model integrated science magic result attitude profile better than ICARE model without science magic.
