Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kemampuan berpikir kritis, penalaran, dan disposisi matematis siswa SMP yang masih rendah sementara tujuan pendidikan itu sendiri antara lain membekali siswa berpikir kritis dan menggunakan penalaran. Sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, penalaran, dan disposisi matematis siswa, dilakukan pembelajaran dengan strategi abduktif-deduktif (PSAD). Pembelajaran ini erat kaitannya dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan penalaran sehingga diharapkan penerapan pembelajaran ini dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan penalaran serta menumbuhkan disposisi matematis siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP. Sementara sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas VII A dan VII B SMP Labschool. Pokok bahasan yang dijadikan bahan ajar adalah bangun datar meliputi luas daerah dan keliling segitiga dan segiempat. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis yang disusun berdasarkan indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis menurut Ennis, dan instrumen tes kemampuan penalaran matematis yang disususn berdasarkan indikator kemampuan penalaran menurut Sumarmo, instrumen non tes yang disusun berdasarkan indikator disposisi menurut Polking, serta lembar observasi pembelajaran PSAD. Berdasarkan analisis pada seluruh tahapan penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa: 1) Secara keseluruhan pencapaian dan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan Strategi Abduktif-Deduktif (PSAD) lebih baik daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional. 2) Seluruh Kategori KAM (atas, tengah, bawah) menunjukkan pencapaian kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran dengan Strategi Abduktif-Deduktif (PSAD) lebih baik daripada yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional. Sedangkan untuk peningkatan, hanya siswa dengan kategori KAM tengah dan bawah peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa pada kelas yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan Strategi Abduktif-Deduktif (PSAD) lebih baik daripada kelas yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional. 3) Secara keseluruhan pencapaian dan peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan Strategi Abduktif-Deduktif (PSAD) lebih baik daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional. 4) Seluruh Kategori KAM (atas, tengah, bawah) menunjukkan pencapaian kemampuan penalaran siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran dengan Strategi Abduktif-Deduktif (PSAD) lebih baik daripada yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional. Sedangkan untuk peningkatan, hanya siswa dengan kategori KAM tengah dan bawah peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa pada kelas yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan Strategi Abduktif-Deduktif (PSAD) lebih baik daripada kelas yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional. 5) Secara keseluruhan pencapaian disposisi matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan Strategi Abduktif-Deduktif (PSAD) lebih baik daripada siswa yng memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional. 6) Berdasarkan kategori KAM, baik siswa yang tergolong KAM atas, tengah, maupun sbawah pada kelas yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan Strategi Abduktif-Deduktif (PSAD) lebih baik daripada kelas yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional.; This study is motivated by the lack of critical thinking ability, reasoning ability, and mathematics disposition of middle school student, while one of the purposes of education is to provide the students to have critical thinking and to use their reasoning. In order to improve critical thinking ability, reasoning ability and mathematics disposition of student, researcher used learning with abductive-deductive strategy. This learning is closely related with critical thinking and reasoning abilities so implementation of this learning is expected to improve critical thinking ability, reasoning ability and mathematics disposition of student. Population on this study was grade seven students in SMP, and sample on this study was VII A and VII B SMP Labschool. The topic on this study was two dimensional shapes that covering area and perimeter of triangle and rectangle. The instrument in this study was a test of critical thinking ability based on critical thinking indicator by Ennis, and a test of mathematical reasoning ability based on reasoning ability indicator by Sumarmo, non-test instrument in this study based on disposition indicator by Polking, and learning observation sheets. According to the analysis of all stages of the study can be concluded that: 1) the achievement and improvement of critical thinking ability of students who got abductive-deductive strategy in their learning is better for overall than the student who received conventional learning.. 2) KAM all categories (top, middle, bottom) shows the achievement of critical thinking ability of students who got abductive deductive learning strategy is better than the students who received conventional learning. In more detail, based on KAM indicators, only students who are categorized as middle and bottom KAM in the class that received abductive-deductive strategy is better than the class that received conventional learning. 3) the achievement and improvement of reasoning ability of students who had abductive-deductive strategy in their learning is better for overall than the student who received conventional learning. 4) KAM all categories (top, middle, bottom) shows the achievement of reasoning ability of students who got abductive deductive learning strategy is better than the students who received conventional learning. In more detail, based on KAM indicators, only students who are categorized as middle and bottom KAM in the class that received abductive-deductive strategy is better than the class that received conventional learning. 5) the achievement of mathematics disposition of students who had abductive-deductive strategy in their learning is better for overall than the student who received conventional learning. 6) Based on KAM indicators, the students who are categorized as top, middle, and bottom KAM in the class that received abductive-deductive strategy is better than the class that received conventional learning.
