Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi kegiatan pengembangan diri yang dilakukan di Rumah Musik Harry Roesli dengan tujuan untuk mengembangkan diri musisi jalanan dalam bidang keterampilan bermusik yang dapat digunakan dalam kehidupannya. Berdasarkan hal tersebut tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) mengetahui bagaimana peran tutor dalam pengembangan diri musisi jalanan, (2) mengetahui hasil dari kegiatan pengembangan diri, (3) mengetahui dampak pengembangan diri musisi jalanan melalui proses pembelajaran keterampilan bermusik terhadap peningkatan sosial dan ekonomi musisi jalanan. Penelitian menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak lima orang yaitu pengelola RMHR, dua orang tutor, dua orang musisi jalanan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) tutor memegang peranan penting dalam keberhasilan program pengembangan diri yaitu sebagai pemberi informasi pembelajaran, pembimbing kegiatan belajar dan pemberi evaluasi pembelajaran musisi jalanan, (2) peserta didik mendapatkan ilmu dan keterampilan dalam bidang bermusik (kemampuan kognitif, afektif dan psikomotor), peserta didik diarahkan agar memiliki karir bermusik yang terarah, (3) kegiatan pengembangan diri melalui pembelajaran bermusik bagi musisi jalanan berdampak pada kesejahteraan ekonomi yaitu peningkatan penghasilan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan primer serta terjadinya perubahan penampilan dan pola hidup seiring dengan peningkatan kesadaran akan kesehatan, (4) sikap positif yang diterima peserta didik dari lingkungan sosial dan sikap optimis peserta didik untuk kembali berperan pada kegiatan-kegiatan kemasyarakatan.;---This research is based on the self-development activities that is given by Rumah Musik Harry Roesli in order to improve street musicians' musical skill so that it can be useful for their life. The aims of this research are: (1) To know the role of the tutors in developing street musicians' skills, (2) to know the result of the self-development activities, (3) to know the effect of street musicians' self-development through the music skills learning towards street musicians' social and economic improvements. This research uses descriptive research method and qualitative approach, with the subjects of five RMHR's managers, two tutors, and two street musicians. Data collection method used are observation, interviews, and triangulation. The result shows that: (1) tutors play important role in the succession of the self-development activities, learning information provider, advisor in learning activities, and evaluator of the street musicians' learning, (2) the students get knowledge and musical skills (cognitive, affective, and psychomotor skills), students are leaded to have a directed music career, (3) self-development activities through musical skills learning affect street musicians' economic wellbeing such as the improvement of income for fulfilling their primary needs and the changes in appearance and lifestyle along with the improvements of health awareness, (4) the positive attitude received by the students from the society and the students' optimistic attitude to re-play a role in community activities.
