Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran tentang perbedaan pemahaman konsep dan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa antara sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran dengan pendekatan ICARE. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre-experiment dengan desain one group pretest-posttest design. Sampel penelitian sebanyak satu kelas yang dipilih secara random sampling pada kelas X di salah satu SMA Negeri di Jawa Barat tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa instrument tes pilihan ganda untuk mengukur pemahaman konsep dan tes uraian untuk mengukur keterampilan berpikir kreatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan rata-rata gain yang dinormalisasi 〈g〉 untuk pemahaman konsep sebesar 0,66 dengan kategori sedang. Sedangkan untuk keterampilan berpikir kreatif sebesar 0,52 dengan kategori sedang. Korelasi antara pemahaman konsep dengan keterampilan berpikir kreatif mempunyai hubungan positif. Uji hipotesis yang diukur untuk pemahaman konsep dan keterampilan berpikir kreatif dengan menunjukkan bahwa kedua variabel ini meningkat secara signifikan pada taraf signifikansi 0.05. Hasil analisis data angket menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 94 % siswa setuju terhadap implementasi pembelajaran fisika dengan menggunakan pendekatan ICARE. Hasil-hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa implementasi pembelajaran fisika materi listrik dinamis dengan menggunakan pendekatan ICARE dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan keterampilan berpikir kreatif. ;--- This study aim to get an overview of differences in the understanding of concepts and creative thinking skills of students before and after learning the ICARE approach. This study uses a pre-experiment with the design of one group pretest-posttest design. Samples are one class chosen by random sampling in class X in one of the high schools in the 2015/2016 school year, West Java. The instrument used in this study a multiple-choice test instrument to measure the understanding of the concept and description test to measure creative thinking skills. The results showed an average gain normalized 〈g〉 for understanding the concept of 0.66 with the medium category. As for the creative thinking skills 0,52 with the medium category. The correlation between understanding the concept of the creative thinking skills have a positive relationship. Test the hypothesis that measured for the understanding of the concept and creative thinking skills by showing that these two variables significantly increased the level of significance of 0.05. The results of the analysis of questionnaire data show that as many as 94% of students agreed to the implementation of learning physics using ICARE approach. These results indicate that the implementation of learning physics dynamic electrical materials using the ICARE approach can improve understanding of the concept and creative thinking skills.
