Abstract
Ketunanetraan yang dialami peserta didik tunanetra menyebabkan terhambatnya proses masuknya informasi. Hal ini menyebabkan peserta didik tunanetra memiliki keterbatasan dalam menerima informasi di lingkungannya. Untuk mempermudah proses masuknya informasi, maka diperlukan media dalam pembelajaran peserta didik tunanetra, termasuk dalam operasi hitung penjumlahan. Terdapat beberapa media hitung bagi peserta didik tunanetra, diantaranya blokjes dan abakus. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yakni untuk mengetahui perbandingan dua media hitung, yakni abakus dan blokjes, dalam operasi hitung penjumlahan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif quasi eksperimen dengan desain Counter Balanced, yaitu desain yang tidak menggunakan pretes dan yang dites lebih dari satu variasi perlakuan, adapun analisis datanya menggunakan Wilcoxon. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kelas 3, 4, dan 5 SD di SLBN A Kota Bandung dengan jumlah sampel 10 orang dan dijadikan dua kelompok dengan stratified random sampling dimana dalam satu kelompok terdapat masing-masing tingkat dengan jumlah yang proporsional. Hasil skor tes diuji menggunakan Uji Wilcoxon dan didapatkan kesimpulan hipotesis yang peneliti ajukan diterima, hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan antara blokjes dengan abakus dalam operasi hitung penjumlahan bilangan ratusan dengan ratusan bagi peserta didik tunanetra kelas 3, 4, dan 5 SD di SLBN A Kota Bandung. Kata kunci: operasi hitung penjumlahan; media hitung abakus, media hitung blokjes, peserta didik tunanetra The blindness that happened to blind student cause the problem in entrying of information from the environment. The use of media in learning process, including in learning adding operation, is needed to make the entrying of information more easy for blind student. There are several arithmatic media for blind student, some of them are abacus and blokjes. The purpose of this research is to know about comparison of two arithmetic media, abacus and blokjes, in adding operation. The method of this research is quasy experiment and Counter Balanced design are used in this research, which is there are no pre-test and more than a varian of experiment are tested. The data analysis that used by researcher are Wilcoxon test. This research are applied at 10 student of 3th, 4th, and 5th grade of elementary school at SLBN A Kota Bandung. This sample are divided into two groups by stratified random sampling technique. In every group there is each grade with the same portion. After the data tested by Wilcoxon, there is conclusion about this research that the hypotheses are accepted. The result shows that there is different between blokjes and abacus in adding operation of hundreds and hundreds for blind student at 3th, 4th, and 5th in SLBN A Kota Bandung.
