Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan mahasiswa semester 6 DPBJ FPBS UPI dalam membaca dan menulis kanji doo’on igigo. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Target penelitian ini adalah 14 orang, diperoleh nilai kemampuan membaca kanji doo’on igigo diperoleh rata-rata nilai pretest 33.6 dengan kategori nilai sangat buruk, namun diperoleh nilai rata-rata posttest 53.2 dengan kategori nilai kurang. Berdasarkan nilai kemampuan menulis kanji doo’on igigo diperoleh nilai rata-rata pretest 45.7 dengan kategori nilai buruk dan nilai posttest 69.3 dengan kategori nilai cukup. Walaupun nilai rata rata nilai posttest dari kemampuan membaca dan menulis kanji doo’on igigo tersebut belum mencapai kategori baik, namun terjadi peningkatan nilai yang signifikan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis hal ini disebabkan karena mahasiswa kurang mengetahui mengenai kanji doo’on igigo, materi kanji doo’on igigo jarang dibahas di dalam perkuliahan, dan mahasiswa yang jarang berlatih secara mandiri. Selain itu faktor yang menyebabkan mahasiswa melakukan kesalahan dan mempengaruhi kemampuan dalam membaca dan menulis kanji doo’on igigo adalah mahasiswa yang tidak tahu arti dari kosakata yang dimaksud, tidak memahami konteks kalimat yang dimaksud, dan terdapat beberapa kanji doo’on igigo yang bentuknya mirip. Ada perbedaan nilai yang sangat signifikan berdasarkan JLPT yang dimiliki oleh setiap mahasiswa. Ada perbedaan nilai kemampuan menulis yang signifikan berdasarkan jumlah jam belajar. Namun tidak ada perbedaan nilai kemampuan membaca yang signifikan berdasarkan jumlah jam belajar kanji setiap mahasiswa. ;---This research aims to determine the ability of the 6th semester students DPBJ FPBS UPI in reading and writing of kanji do'on igigo. The method used in this research is descriptive method. Targeted research is 14 Japanese Education students of 6th semester in Indonesia University of Education. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that the average score result pretest of ability to read of kanji do'on igigo is 33.6, with the category is very bad score, and the average score result posttest of ability to read of kanji do'on igigo is 53.2 with the category is less score. The average score result pretest of ability to write of kanji do'on igigo is 45.7, with the category is bad score, and the average score result posttest of ability to write of kanji do'on igigo is 69.3, with the category is enough. Although the value of the average value of the posttest of the ability to read and write kanji igigo doo'on have not achieved good category, but there was a significant increase in value. Based on the analysis it is because students are not informed about doo'on igigo, material of doo'on igigo rarely discussed in the lecture, and students who rarely practice independently. In addition, factors that cause students to make mistakes and affects the ability to read and write kanji doo'on igigo are students who do not know the meaning of the vocabulary in question, did not understand the context of the sentence in question, and there are some kanji doo'on igigo that looks similar. There are very significant differences in value based on the JLPT owned by each student. There are significant difference in value of ability to write based on the number of hours of student learning kanji. But there is no significant difference value of the ability to read based on the number of hours each student learning kanji.
