Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi anggapan-anggapan yang kurang menyenangkan mengenai Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI). Hal ini dikarenakan penggunaan media yang diberikan guru kurang variatif sehingga siswa merasa jenuh. Guru harus kreatif dalam memilih media pembelajaran. Salah satu alternatif media yang dapat digunakan adalah media flip book. Media flip book adalah salah satu media pembelajaran visual berupa lembaran-lembaran kertas berukuran 13 cm x 9 cm yang berisi materi atau bahan ajar yang dibuat sedemikian rupa sehingga tujuan pembelajaran dapat tercapai dengan efektif dan efisien. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan media pembelajaranflip book terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran PAI di SMP Negeri 43 Bandung. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian quasi eksperimen. Adapun jenis desain eksperimen semu dari penelitian adalahnonequivalent control group design, yaitu penelitan yang dilaksanakan pada satu kelompok eksperimen yakni yang mendapatkan perlakuan (treathment)dan satu kelompok kontrol atau kelompok pembanding yakni tidak mendapatkan perlakuan (treathment). Sampel pada penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII-1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan VII-4 sebagai kelas kontrol. Data hasil penelitian diperoleh dari instrumen penilian berjumlah 87 butir soal ranah kognitif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan nilai sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0,169 dimana 0,169 > 0,05. Maka sesuai dasar pengambilan keputusan dalam uji independent sample t-test maka dapat disimpulkan Ho diterima dan Ha ditolak yang artinya bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara rata-rata hasil belajar kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan media pembelajaran flip book tidak lebih efektif dalam peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran PAI di SMP Negeri 43 Bandung. ; The background to the research is the unpleasant comments on Islamic Education. These unpleasant comments are caused by the lack of variation in the media teachers use, thereby making students bored. Teachers should be creative in selecting instructional media. One of the alternative media that can be used is flip book. Flip book is one of the visual instructional media in the forms of sheets of 13cm x 9cm sized papers containing teaching or learning materials that are made in such a way that instructional objectives can be met effectively and efficiently. The research aims to find the effectiveness of flip book instructional media for improving students’ learning outcomes in the subject of Islamic Education SMP Negeri 43 Bandung. It adopted quantitative research with quasi-experimental method. The type of experimental design selected was the nonequivalent control group design, where research was conducted to one experimental group or treatment group and one control group or comparison group that does not receive any treatment. The sample consisted of class VII-1 as the experimental class and class VII-4 as the control class. Data were obtained by an evaluation instrument with a total of 87 questions on the cognitive domain. The findings show that the sig. value (2-taled) was 0.169, where 0.169 > 0.05. Thus, based on the convention of independent sample t-test, it can be inferred that Ho was accepted and Ha was rejected, meaning that there was no significant difference in the average learning outcomes of the experimental class and control class. Hence, it can be concluded that flip book instructional media are not more effective in improving students’ learning outcomes in the subject of Islamic Education at SMP Negeri 43 Bandung.
