Abstract

Berdasarkan 21st Century Partnnership Learning Framework, salah satu kompetensi yang harus dimiliki oleh SDM abad XXI adalah pemecahan masalah. Studi pendahuluan yang dilakukan di salah satu SMA Negeri Bandung menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memecahkan masalah. Salah satunya adalah tidak tahu apa yang harus mereka kerjakan. Sehingga diperlukan pembelajaran fisika yang melibatkan metakognisi untuk mengatasi persoalan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah fisika setelah diterapkan pendekatan metakognitif dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama tiga pertemuan pada 32 siswa SMA kelas XI di salah satu SMA Negeri Bandung dengan metode peneltian quasi experimental design dan desain penelitian Pre-test and Post-test Group. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang terdiri dari dua buah soal essay dengan tahapan penyelesaiannya berdasarkan Heller. Kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang diukur melalui gain yang dinormalisasi menunjukkan peningkatan sebesar 0,45 dengan kategori sedang. Peningkatan aspek memfokuskan permasalahan, aspek merencanakan solusi, dan aspek menjalankan rencana berada dalam kategori sedang. Sedangkan aspek mendeskripsikan ke dalam dan aspek mengevaluasi jawaban berada dalam kategori rendah. Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran pendekatan metakognitif dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah fisika siswa SMA. ; Based on 21st Century Partnnership Learning Framework, one of the competencies that should be had by students in 21st century is problem solving. Preliminary studies that conducted in one of the High School in Bandung, students face the difficulties to solve the problems. One of the students who didn’t know what they have to do. As concequency, required to involve metacognitive in physics learning. The purpose of the research is to find out the enhancement physics problem solving abilities after metacognitive approach learning had been conducting. This study was conducted for three times for 32 students at one class in one of the high school in Bandung with research method is quasi experimental design and Pre-test and Post-test Group research design. The instrument is used to measure problem-solving ability that consist of two essay with stages by Heller. The results show that metacognitive approach learning be able enhance every aspect of physics problem-solving ability with N-Gain increase by 0,45 in the medium category. The enhancement of focus the problem aspects’, plan a solution aspects’, and execute the plan aspects’ in the medium category. Whereas to describe the physics aspects’ and evaluating answers aspects’ in the low category. Thus, it can be concluded that the metacognitive approach to learning be able enhance highschools’ physics problem solving abilities.
