Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh lemahnya keterampilan sosial peserta didik yang berkaitan dengan hubungan intrapersonal, interpersonal dan akademis . Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (Classroom Action Research) yang merujuk pada pola desain penelitian Kemmis and Mc. Taggart, yaitu penelitian tindakan dipandang sebagai suatu siklus spiral dari penyusunan perencanaan (plan), pelaksanaan tindakan (act), pengamatan (observe), dan refleksi (reflect) yang dilakukan dalam tiga siklus dengan sembilan tindakan. Dari hasil observasi dan analisis pada aspek keterampilan sosial yang meliputi (1) memahami perasaan orang lain; (2) mengontrol kemarahan; (3). memperkenalkan diri; (4) menawarkan atau meminta bantuan; (5) mampua berkomunikasi; (6) memberi atau menerima pujian; (7) mendengarkan dengan tenang saat guru menerangkan pelajaran; (8) mengerjakan pekerjaan sekolah dengan baik; (9) melakukan apa yang diminta oleh guru, disimpulkan bahwa ada peningkatan rata-rata keterampilan sosial yang signifikan setelah dilakukan tiga kali siklus dengan masing-masing siklus terdiri dari tiga kali tindakan. Berdasarkan hasil observasi pada siklus pertama, keterampilan sosial peserta didik bernilai cukup. Pada siklus kedua ada peningkatan, di mana rata-rata keterampilan sosial peserta didik bernilai cukup dan pada siklus ketiga, keterampilan sosial peserta didik meningkat signifikan bernilai baik. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian diri peserta didik keterampilan sosial peserta didik bernilai cukup. Pada siklus kedua ada peningkatan, di mana rata-rata keterampilan sosial peserta didik bernilai baik dan pada siklus ketiga, rata-rata keterampilan sosial peserta didik kembali meningkat dengan nilai baik.; The background of this research is the low social skills of students related to their intrapersonal, interpersonal, and academic skills. This research employed Classroom Action Research method, referencing Kemmis and Mc. Taggart’s research design, which regards action research as consisting of a spiral of cycles of the Plan, Act, Observe, and Reflect stages, which in this research was carried out in three cycles with nine actions. Based on the results of observations and analysis of the social skill aspects covering: (1) Understanding other people’s feelings; (2) Controlling anger; (3) Introducing oneself; (4) Offering or asking for help; (5) Communicating; (6) Giving or accepting compliments; (7) Listening quietly while the teacher is explaining; (8) Doing school work well; and (9) Doing what teachers ask, it is found that the students’ average social skills increased significantly after three cycles of actions, with three actions for each cycle. Based on observation results of the first cycle, students’ social skills were at the “moderate” category. An increase was observed in the second cycle, where the average students social skills were at the category of “moderate”, and in the third cycle, the students’ social skills increased significantly to the category of “good”. Based on students’ self-assessment, their social skills were at first at the category of “moderate”. In the second cycle, the average score for the social skills increased with a category of “good”, and continued to increase in the third cycle at the category of “good”.
